Well, I don't mean to kinda threadjack some more, but I'm guessing that he should be okay (As far as we know he is in Chiang Mai, which isn't coastly according to my stale SE Asia geographical skills), (I'm sorry if I increased the worry/concern factor for anyone, I don't mean to dampen anyone's vacation...)
Life is life and you can never be completely sure, so let's all hope everything is as alright as it can be right now :)
Let's try not to jump to the negative of conclusions immediately (even if humans are predisposed to it)...
*Best wishes to everyone*

we should all pray for him and the others over there. I don't pray but i wish and hope for the best.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

I heard about the earthquake/tidal wave, and I was horrified. Hours later, I was hearing more about it and I heard "Thailand" and I remembered Anthony Rapp was over there and got totally freaked out. I pray with all my heart that he's okay, and for everyone else over there. Its really weird "knowing" (knowing, as in listening to them on CD every day, reading some things they wrote on the internet, and looking forward to seeing them in a movie ) who was so close to such a horrible disaster. It hits home more than it might have... I pray that there are no aftershocks, and that Anthony is okay and for everyone else over there.
But now we have come almost to the end. One last step. And then, when I take power, they will be pulled down and ground into dirt for what they did to you. And what they did in so contemptuously underestimating me.
oh and on the topic of RENT...ok so not really, but anyhoo, when I went to NYC on Christmas, I turned the corner to enter this little restaurant called Cafe Noir, and GASP I saw the back of the Moondance Cafe, and I knew that little half-moon was it so I like screeched and kept smiling through lunch at htis cafe noir place, and then after lunch my dad let me go to the Moondance Cafe (not in it,it was closed) and I freaked out I was like "Jonathan Larson stood here, and here, and here..and HERE"..i screamed..a lot
but thats not on the topic of Anthony forgive me for thread-jacking
"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."
Three cheers for it being true! It seems someone was in the right place of the wrong place at the right time...
Life's unique, isn't it...
(edited for more positive vibes and removal of seemingly doubting ones--they only were there because of my own thoughts, not necessarily on this subject, but, well, SATs draw nearer each day, school starts again too soon, and because the internet is only in th lobby I don't fully read about everything here or elsewhere so I can get back to family sooner,etc... *I'm rushed... Isn't vacation supposed to be relaxing?* I hope all of yours are as relaxing as can be : )... )

I'm writing this to you in the aiport lounge in Seoul, en route to NYC. I didn't know that there was such concern about my well-being after the tsunamis hit, and I'm very touched to read all of your posts... But I will join in with others around BWW who have urged you to contribute whatever you can to any number of organizations who are doing such important and difficult work in the region.
I wasn't in Phuket or the other Thai resorts that were hit, as you know, but the coverage in Bangkok was incredibly extensive on CNN and BBC and in the english-language newspapers, so I have been very moved by what I've seen, as I'm sure you all have been. I wonder how extensive the coverage has been back in the states, though, aside from a list of numbers of people dead and missing.
If there is any good thing to come of all of this incredible tragedy, maybe people will be that much more aware of the difficulties facing populations in emerging nations like Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and even India, to make ends meet. Hopefully people won't now be frightened of visiting these countries, but will be encouraged to help spur their economies forward by spending some time getting to know them. They will need all the help they can get, not just in the short-term relief efforts, but in the long-term economic recovery and stabilization.
Anyway, I hope everyone has had a good holiday season in the face of all that's happened. And here's to a much happier and healthier new year for all of us all over the world.
Thank God your ok!!! We were all SOOOOO WORRIED about you! Hope everyone has an AMAZINGLY GREAT new year!

have a good flight home! I also love the comment about helping their economies because i know they need help not just now but in the future.

You guys are all right. And I'm glad that everyone's happy that Anthony's safe (I sure am) and that people have voiced concern over the masses that were hit by this tragedy.
And so, I'm posting this link (again). It has a list of different organizations to donate too. I've donated to Red Cross, OxFam and Unicef. Try to help, even if you can only donate $5. Skip your McDonald's value meal or those pair of earrings instead. Love you guys, and glad everyone's safe!
