This doesn’t make any sense at all! One shop in the UK has it but nowhere else! Not even on digital platforms!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
They've taken this whole "secrecy" thing too far in my opinion.

It appears that way!

So is this what they could call a "soft release"? Release in small shops first and then do a full commercial release? Really sneaky for sure!

This whole secrecy nonsense is over the top lmao. Like, is there even anything that secret about this recording? Isn't it the same song list as every other recent production of the show?
Also, while I'm hyped to hear this recording since who knows if I'll get a chance to see it, am I the only one that wishes it wasn't Eddie Redmayne? I hope I get proven wrong, but I always find his performances very mannered and affected in a way that seems insincere. Not to mention it's rich that someone who has willingly played a trans woman in a tragedy-porn movie, a disabled character in another, and has defended JK Rowling during her transphobic tirades, is the lead of this show. The bigotry this show fights against is the exact type of bigotry trans folks are facing today.

I'm curious to find out the track listing. I never found out if this production uses the same song stack as the Mendes production or not. And how do they do the first "Tomorrow Belongs to Me?" Is it still a boy soprano on a gramophone?

I think I saw someone on Twitter link to a playlist that has the songs in the order they appear in this production and it's the same. I also know someone who saw the show. They're not really familiar with different versions but I did ask them about any song differences and it seemed the same from their memory. I'm pretty sure Emcee sings the first version of Tomorrow Belongs to Me though? I want to know if the ad libs are gone. If what people are saying here about Emcee not being clearly LGBT+ anymore is true, it seems like they have to be cut. Idk maybe if he's "androgynous" the ad libs could still work but androgynous doesn't mean LGBT+. I hope that's not true, because that'd make Eddie Redmayne's casting extra yikes. Gotta agree with CreatureKitchen's earlier point that cutting down on the queerness AND casting someone with Eddie's history is a Bad Look.
Since we're on the topic and it seems that people don't mind a slight tangent, what is the audience supposed to think about the first Tomorrow Belongs to Me? Like I knew it was setup for the reveal of it being a Nazi anthem, but if you didn't know that, what would you see as its purpose in the show before the reprise? Like is it the idea that the characters are hoping for a better life?
So, I managed to listen to the cast album. OMG! I can see why they're so secretive about it! It's really good! Eddie and Jessie's vocals are just smooth and chilling at the same time. It's so beautiful! I hope it's not too long before they put this on music streaming sites.

I just gave it a listen. Being a live recording and all, it really captures the show as it is on stage, so whether you will like it or not depends on what you made of the show at the Kit Kat Club. What falls flat on stage (eg the opening number) falls flat in the recording too, and what is overwrought and overdone in the show (eg the title song) comes across as overwrought and overdone in the CD as well. At the same time, it also captures the beautiful orchestrations and some lovely performances, like Jessie Buckley's Maybe This Time. The highlight of the album, just like in the show, are Liza Sadovy's Fraulein Schneider and Elliot Levey's Herr Schultz: "It Couldn't Please Me More", "Married" and "What Would You Do?" are great and easily the best tracks in the cast recording. Anna-Jane Casey is fab and the reprise of Tomorrow Belongs to Me is as chilling as it is in the theatre.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

The Emcee introducing Sally before the title song and Don't Tell Mama, a few lines between Sally and Cliff before Perfectly Marvelous and Maybe This Time, Cliff asking Herr Ludwing what kind of job should he do for him before Money, Fraulein Kost convincing Herr Ludwig not to go before Tomorrow Belongs to Me, and Herr Schultz asking Fraulein Schneider to marry him. A little more than what you hear in the 1998 cast recording

If nothing is announced in the coming weeks, I’d imagine the transfer will be next season or perhaps not at all.
