I am in love with every single song from The last Five Years, but my favourite is proabably "If I Didn't Believe In You" and "I Can Do Better Than That" (does anyone else just love that song?)
I'm just curious... somebody referenced his work on A Long Day's Journey Into Night...as in the recent revival? i'd love to hear more about it , as its one of my favorite plays and he is quite an incredible composer.

I wish I would've known about that benefit earlier, I live about 45 minutes away from Urbana!!
Anyways, I love Hear My Song and I'd Give it all for You from Songs for a New World, and most of L5Y, which is the best musical all the way through ever!!
I am familiar with Parade, Last 5 Years, and Songs for a New World. I have been listening to Songs for a New World more though. I would have to say that "I'm Not Afraid of Anything" and Christmas Lullaby are my two favorites that females sing. One of my favorite male songs on that CD is Steam Train.
I can't believe only one other person mentioned each of my favourites:
Dreaming, Wide Awake & Letting You Go (the latter is brilliant in it's build; the former is just plain genius - why hasn't he finished that civil war musical he was going to use that in?? c'mon, JRB, throw us a bone! It's been far too long since his last show)
I would also like to hear about his contribution to "Long Day's Journey Into Night," so who's got the scoop?
He composed the incidental music for the Irish Rep production starring Brian Murray and Frances Sternhagen, NOT the Vanessa Redgrave/Brian Dennehy Broadway revival.
