Kelly Clarkson is such a powerhouse vocalist and seems like she would make a great fit in a good musical. With her work on Josh Groban's Stages album and on the Hamilton Mixtape, Broadway has to be in the cards.
What roles do you think would she be good in? And would it be a revival or an original?

Yes. Lol
while I think she has one of the best voices, if not the best voice in the pop genre, I don't think she has any acting experience and her voice alone won't carry her through a show. I love her. But not for the stage
Josh Groban's only real acting gigs were mainly small cameo appearances as himself. He seems to be doing well in Comet and he's bringing in a lot of money. Why couldn't it be expected that Kelly do the same?
Actually, he did train as an actor in performing arts high school.
She has done some acting....remember that movie right after she won AI? She was horrendous. Just because one can sing (and no one is disputing that) doesn't mean you can or should act.
Then, of course, does she even WANT to? It's not a dream for everyone.
Lastly, Groban is the exception to the rule: few thought he'd actually be good.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Josh Groban was admitted to Carnegie Mellon and intended to study drama until he was offered a recording contract 4 months into the year. He really is an actor at heart. Getting back to Kelly, I just don't think Broadway is the right place for her and I can't imagine her being interested in a Broadway project. Maybe I'm wrong.
Kelly has a tremendous voice and charm for days. I don't think anyone doubts that. However, she has said before that her passion is singing and she doesn't intend to move into acting. I recall reading somewhere that she doesn't think she's a good actress, so she's happy where she is.
All of that being said, I'd love to hear her sing a fun, spunky role--Annie Oakley or Ado Annie, perhaps.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I'm thinking something rock-ish, that lets her show her voice. She has a really likable and endearing personality and if directed well I could see her shining in something If/Then-like.
Gorgeous vocalist, can't dance, no rhythm and can't act. No idea what she'd be suited for. Narrator in Joseph? I don't think she has the physical stamina for a Broadway show.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
She'd be a fun Annie Oakley! I doubt she would do a Broadway run, but a concert version at the Hollywood Bowl or somewhere in that vein would be more likely!

She has said numerous times that she cannot act and would be horrible in a show. So she agreed with you all. That said, her "My Favorite Things" is a major highlight. But I don't think anyone could sing her music and sing it consistently 8x a week. It wasn't written like that. Most ever singer options down here and there throughout their concerts. They can't afford to blow out their voices.

I think she would be fantastic as Jenna in Waitress
