Sent to Paramour in the Fall last year and received a program/flyer signed by 3 cast members.
"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." Received a cast-signed playbill from The Glass Menagerie signed by the entire cast plus the understudies. No donation requested.

Bandstand, War Paint, Come From Away, On Your Feet, The Great Comet, The Lion King, Hamilton, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon, Present Laughter, Amelie, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Great Comet is requesting $100 donations, and Hamilton stopped sending out fan mail responses (now saying they are unable to fulfill requests, though before they requested $40 donations). Three shows that I know respond without donations are On Your Feet, The Lion King, and Aladdin.
Keep in mind that right now Easter Bonnet collections are going on though, so shows may not respond.

$100?!?! What is going on? First Miss Saigon, now Great Comet? I don't understand.

I sent to Sara Bareilles the first few days of April. I haven't heard back from her."
UPDATE: I GOT IT BACK! I'M SOOOOO HAPPY!!!! I sent a letter to Sara Bareilles early April and got it back on 4/24/2017. So it took 3 weeks and a day. I asked for two playbills: one for me and one to give to my choir teacher as a birthday present. She's also a Sara Bareilles fan like me and she's my favorite teacher. I thought it would be nice to get her one too. And I'll probably send another letter to SB. So stay tuned if I do!

On Your Feet, The Lion King, Aladdin, Wicked. Those are the only shows I know don't ask for donations. I'm not sure about other shows (Like The Book of Mormon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Amelie, etc).
Oh, I forgot to say I got back a cast signed Significant Other playbill on April 27 (4 days after they closed). It took only 12 days or in weeks, a week and 5 days (THAT'S THE QUICKEST I'VE GOTTEN A RESPONSE). Unfortunately, you can't send to SO anymore because they closed on April 23. Oh, and just so you know, they didn't ask for a donation.

New message board poster here (lurker for years)! Finally making it to Broadway this next month! I've read almost this whole thread... my Q is when you write the stage manager can you only request a playbill? What if I sent a poster for everyone to sign, is that a no no? After they receive your donation, does the SM take the playbill around to get signatures or do they just send one from a stack of already signed bills? I'd love to have a signed poster to frame to commemorate my first NY trip. Show in Q is Dear Evan Hanson.

Some stage managers will take the time to get other items signed, but not all. Unfortunately, I don't think you would have success with Dear Evan Hansen, unless perhaps you made a donation of $200 to Broadway Cares, which is what the show was asking during the BC/EFA collection period recently.

From past experience, it really depends on the show. Dear Evan Hansen I would suspect it to be a no since they are taking donations for things. If you sent it with a $50 check to BC/EFA it MAY be a different story, but there's no way to know. Also, mailing posters is fairly difficult since you have to send them flat, and ALSO provide packaging/postage from them to sent it back. I've only done it once, and it was for Heathers Off-Broadway, but the only reason I went through it all is because I had talked to the stage manager via twitter, and he was willing to take care of it for me if I got the poster there before the show closed. So it could be risky, but the worst that could happen is they send the poster back unsigned with your check and you only lose out on postage.
