Mikeyb: How did you get a playbill signed by so many of the cast? Did you write a letter to the cast, or was it something you asked Lea for? I have signatures from most of the cast from the stagedoor, but Jenny Galloway always seems to duck and run, so have never caught her. Would love a playbill signed by her and some of the rest of the cast.
"I wrote a book: "How to Be Popular". Now I've put together a top ten list of how to help you:
-Elphie, everyday... shower. I mean, who knows? Maybe some of that green is gonna come off!
-Deodorant Elphie. No body likes a stinky witch!
-I think we've covered the hair, we'll get to that.
-Clean underclothes. That's all I'm gonna say.
-Look at your posture. That's no way to be popular!
-Bed made, room straightened. We've done that.
-Colors blended. Oookay.
-But the most important thing to have, to make yourself popular, is to keep your beautiful smile."
~Kristin Chenoweth in her last performance of the song "Popular"
NJRae: I did send a letter to the theatre. I put it attention to the company manager. I asked him if he could send me a signed playbill by some of the cast members. I also enclosed a photo of Lea as Eponine and asked if he could ask her to sign it. I sent it not long ago and had it back yesterday. So I was happy when i recieved it. :) So your best bet is to put it attention to the Company Manager. He helped me, so I'm sure he'll help you :)
Mikey, you're a pro. How many hours a week do you devote to writing letters? You are impressive.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
Nothing from Bob yet. I know this might be a stupid question, but does anyone know when he left for London or if he would still get mail from the Marquis?
Bettyboy72 - Thanks for the nice comment :) It takes me about over 3 hours to write, only because I write to more than 1 person. Like back in February, I wrote to 12 people which took me about a week and a bit. Sure, my hand gets a little cramped but to me it's worth it because I feel that I should let my favourite performers (i.e. Idina Menzel & Kerry Ellis) know how I admire their work in Musical Theatre and how I wish them the very best for the future. I love all the letters I write to people but I think out of every person I have written to (totaled so far 52) my favourite would have to be Ashley Brown for when she made her debut in BATB. I felt at the time that I should write to her telling her I very much praise her for making her debut so successful. About a month later, I hear back from her saying thank you so much and that my letter eas the sweetest thing she had ever read, it made her day according to her 3 sided leter. Such a sweethart :) Writing to 1 person though would take me about 20 Minutes.
BDavies - Re to your letter. I would have to say wait for a little while longer, possibly until May. the reason I say this is because if you send it to the Marquis, it could be unlikely for Bob to respond seeing as he and Elaine Paige would be in rehearsals and getting prepared for the London Production and that they possibly would want to settle into the characters first. So my advice to you would be to wait until May for when the previews start at the Novello Theatre.
The address is
The Novello Theatre "The Stage Door" Aldwych London, WC2B 4LD England UK.
Hope this is of any use to you :) Any problems, let me know.
Wow, I didn't realise I had quite a few words to say, lol

Thanks mikey but I sent the letter two weeks ago to the Marquis and I was wondering if he would still get it. If I don't get anything back I will wait and mail another to that adress. Thank you.
So if I would want to get Ashley Brown's autograph whats her fan address or do I send the letter directly to the address of New Amsterdamn Theater? I heard that if you send your playbill also to the Gerswhin Theater you could get the whole entire cast autographs? just wondering?!?!?!
Kim 4 - I have been successful with getting stuff back from the revival cas of Les Miserables. I had a signed photo from Lea Salonga and a signed Playbill from the follwing; Jenny Galloway Gary Beach Lea Salonga Alexander Gemignani Ali Edwolt Celia Keenan Bolger Megan McGinnis Norm Lewis.
I requested the programme and photo from the Company Manager of Les Mis. It took a month for me to get something back from them. Possibly because I live in the UK and it takes 5 days to recieve something from USA and that the Manager is probably busy.
Attention of The Company Manager "Les Miserables Broadway Revival c/o The Broadhurst Theatre - "The Stage Door" 235 West 44th Street New York City NY 10036
Also the best thing to get a quick response is to include a SASE. The Manager helped me, so I am sure he/she will help you :)
Good Luck! :)
Elphie4ever - Apparantly from what I have heard, the New Amsterdam Theatre is possibly the only address that you can write to Ashley.
Address is as follows;
Ashley Brown Mary Poppins Musical c/o The New Amsterdam Theatre - "The Stage Door" 214 West 42nd Street New York City NY 10036
In reference to your other question, it is a possibility that you can get yours signed by the cast, or certain members of your choice. It happened with me last year. I sent a playbill and requested and asked for it to be signed by Eden Espinosa & Jenna Leigh Green, and they were more than happy to do so. So in your letter, just let them know who you want the Playbill signed by.
my choir teacher said that Nathan Lane sent her a program signed after she wrote to him saying that he was wonderful in "The Producers". I believe he wrote a letter as well.
I still havn't recieved my playbill back. I sent it to Bob Martin at the Marquis over 3 weeks ago. He's probablly not even in the US now. My playbill could be anywhere. And I sent him my good Drowsy playbill. Oh well.
^ aww that saddens me. I feel bad because everyone told me that Hunter would write back, and I got really emotional and everything when I wrote the letter, and he never responded. Sadness.
