Amazon sent me Roger...that seems to be the trend.

I wanted my Marky/Anthony...but I'm pretty happy with my Adam/Roger here.

The scene: Barnes & Nobles in Tampa, Florida.

The actors: Beth (that's me) and Lex (that's the salesgirl who befriend me over mutual adoration of Rent and Broadway in general)
Beth: *whimper*
Lex: What's wrong?
Beth: No Rent soundtrack.
Lex: *points up where it is staring Beth in the face* Look up.
Beth: SQUEE! *gasp as she tries not to cry because she ios an emotional geek on her period*
Lex: We have Angel, Mimi, you can't have Tom, he's mine.
Beth: Joanne? I wanted to show Tracie some love.
Lex: Never got one.
Beth: *is crushed* Mark?
Lex: No. And we sold Roger yesterday.
Beth: Dammit! *sighs*
Lex: We have Maureen.
Beth: My friend has her. I wanted Joanne or Mark. But...*snatches one off the shelf* I'll take Mimi. She lives in my head anyway. might as well, she's so gorgeous though.
Lex: Yeah...
*both stare dreamily at Rosario's sexiness*
Beth: Well, Alex is gonna get Maureen, Evie's getting Mark. Aubrey has Roger; I guess I should stick with my beloved character.
Lex: I understood only three names in that whole sentence and they were all the fictional people.

*bows and Angel comes running out onstage, the applause is thunderous* =8->

I just got back from best buy, and since i had birthday money left over, and i couldn't decide between benny and joanne, i just bought both, and i downloaded it off itunes, the day it came out, so now i'm broke

Mimi! I went to four different stores. Two didn't have them, one had just Joanne, the other had like 4 Angels and a Mimi, so I got Mimi!

Just got mine yesterday.

I wasn't gonna go in pre-determined, but when I got there, I saw the green Roger one and instinctavely went straight for that one. No hesitations.

I literally dove for him. I saw the little bit of green and just, as if on instinct, was like "that one!" I hadn't made up my mind until I got to the store, though.

It had to be Adam. Had to.

My Mom picked up mine... and she didn't know that there were different covers. But they had Benny or Mark left, and she said 'Well, since you named your car Mark, I felt the need to get that one.' Good choice Mom, Good choice.

Question: how long do we think these special covers will be out? Am I safe if I go 2 weeks from now (when I have close access to car + stores)? or will they start selling just the "everyone" covers soon? anyone know?

i would see if a store can put one aside for you, if you want one specifically. it also depends on where you live. and there's always ebay.

My opinion is they'll sell the special covers until they run out...

and definitely call and ask if they can reserve one for you... but I doubt they would be able to for two weeks. I'm assuming the "everyone" covers is the cover inside of the special edition covers? I really want to get a Roger cover too, but I'm SO broke right now...

I went to BestBuy today. They had Mark, Roger, Benny, and Maureen. I couldn't decide so I bought both Mark and Roger...

ok, new question:

do the special covers have the characters names on them? or no? I want to send dad on a mission (since he's in the place I'll be in 2 weeks)...so I need to know if I can just say "Angel" or if I have to give a discription. Are the pics the same as the pics on the "everyone" cover?

they all have the characters names, but some are covered by the stickers, find out which color it is,

i think angel is red, while maureen in more orange, only a subtle difference

Finally picked up my copy today.

My choices were: Maureen, Benny, Joanne or Angel.

I got Maureen.

I'd have been disppointed if it worked out any other way.

I toyed with Benny for a moment, but I decided on Maureen because:

A) Taye was rude to me outside the Nederlander back in 1996
B) I figured someone who was on the fence might be more likely to by a Taye cover than an Idina cover.
