Why is Kyle Dean Massey leaving Pippin?

Because they're stunt casting the guy from The Voice.

So they kick him out/end his contract? I have a feeling Pippin will fall flat on its face with this change...
In fact, I was planning to book tickets for Nov 17, but when I saw this I changed to a different show.

It's extremely doubtful he's being "kicked out" or having his contract terminated. He was probably signed as an interim casting while the details of the next Pippin were worked out.

He is not being kicked out. Who knows. He might pop up in the tour. These producers are very loyal to the people they hire and keep using them in all their shows.

Because he doesn't love you!!

Because his contract is up, pure and simple. And in terms of stunt casting the guy from The Voice, if he ends up being good, is it still stunt casting or just good casting?

As someone mentioned, I guess Kyle Dean Massey could possibly take part in the Pippin tour at some point (especially if the intended tour Pippin doesn't work out).
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

That seems a bit odd. What if THE VOICE guy turns out to be fantastic? I really don't understand why everyone has their knickers in a bunch over this casting. We haven't even seen the poor guy yet.

I guess people are having strong reactions because he has never acted before, is unattractive (a user called him an Ewok!) and he is short. Not really leading man status, you know? Or, people were spoiled with the beautiful Matthew and Kyle? Not sure.

^ That was me! LOL. BUT, I actually took it back and said that he looked like a cross between an Ewok and Zelda Rubinstein from Poltergeist. LOL

I just don't see the reason to bash someone's looks. It's immature. Besides, It's not like you aren't going to illegally record him in the show and put it on youtube.

LOL- How do you know what I am going to do? No- I am not going to waste my money on seeing him. So you if I am just plain rude, you are just plain wrong. LOL

I personally think the guy from the voice looks a little too old/mature to play Pippin.

Nonetheless, Pretending to be in middle school and calling people names that have to do with how they look is unacceptable.

^ I'm glad other people realize that commenting on people's looks is rude. There was one Jeremy Jordan vs Matthew Morrison for Finding Neverland thread where someone called Morrison "odd looking." Hateful comments like that are about as low as you can go.
