Im very gald and thankful NEWLINE pushed this image out there.
I have been showing a printout to some people where I am currently staying... and as I point to Edna, I ask, "Do you know this is?" They ponder, "No." I respond, "It's John Travolta." Where they all immediatly grab the paper out of my hands, screaming "Oh my god. He looks awesome. (what it for?)" because some people are just no familiar with the movie/show. But the general consensus is that he looks "cute."
So, Im happy and Im getting others into it - and I think thats kinda cool.
Im almost done with this show I am working on, "with their eyes." I should be out of here on Tuesday.

"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!" -E!'s "The Soup"
MY only complaint is that all four of those Edna fingers look manicured! On a woman who's taking in laundry to make ends meet? REEELY! I have heard good things about the Hefty Hideaway but must say no more ( or undoubtedly risk my barely tolerated presence on this board!)
I'm a big fan of "Hairspray." I saw the orginal John Water's film in the late '80s and I've seen the musical version twice. I look forward to the new film version.
sorry guys... the john waters movie was hilarious, the broadway show which i saw with the OBC like many of you did, was great! but these pictures of Travolta are scary!!
he actually scares me. lol. I was over at Perezhilton.com, and he posted the same photo, and everyone commenting was saying that it was the worst thing they'd seen.
they made a terrible choice in putting Travolta in this. but since they went ahead with him, they should have made him funny looking instead of like a scary creature from some horror movie.
it just doesnt make me laugh. he looks bizarre and odd.
"Picture "The View," with the wisecracking, sympathetic sweethearts of that ABC television show replaced by a panel of embittered, suffering or enraged Arab women" -the Times review of Black Eyed
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
