I just saw wicked, the bathrooms in the Gershwin are HUGE! WHY AREN'T OTHER THEATRES LIKE THAT? The Bathrooms at the Broadway are soooo bad, they smell like Tacos! really bad cheap tacos!
Because the Gershwin was built in the 70's whereas most Broadway theaters were built in the 20's and 30's.

May I ask what the bathrooms at the Marquis Theatre smell like. If they smell bad, I may skip the Woman in White!
I can vouch for the cleanliness of the bathrooms at the Hirschfeld. And, I've been in BOTH.

Streisand --- I think we shall make you the Official BWW Bathroom Tester. Go to all the theatre bathrooms and report back to us on how they smell. If any bathrooms smell like fish, I will not go to that theatre!
Nope, the bathroom in Donna Murphy's dressing room smelled like roses! Her dressing room was immaculate.
I heard the bathrooms at the Broadway smelled like the WIZ.
Oh, sueleen, that was brilliant!
No, streisand, her **** don't stink.

Crap, this thread is clearly going down the toilet.
I wish I could tour the Broadway bathrooms. Sometimes living in LA is pretty shi**y. I don't mean to piss and moan, but life stinks.
Oh well, back to listening to Green Day's "Dookie" while eating from my poo poo platter.
I wonder how long our new friend will last?

Hey, not to threadjack, (even though I don't think it is too awful to get off THIS subject) can someone explain to me the whole situation with Carla... ever since I've been here (which, ganted hasn't been that long, I've heard about her and was curious.
Also, the bathrooms at the Nederlander are good... lol.
Yes, what WAS the whole "Love, Carla" thing about???
Actually, no Broadway theatres were built in the 1930s. From 1927 to 1972, when the Uris/Gershwin opened, no new Broadway theatre was constructed.
Some people can't post as their former selves anymore, so they have to create new identities.
I saw The Color Purple yesturday and the line for both bathrooms was REDICULOUS!
It's not ONLY in New York. I'm telling you. The Ford Oriental and Cadillac in Chicago? STUFFED and SMELLY.
bathroom lines are ALWAYS long.
Small and dingy...come on theater owner people. We pay over 100 dollars for tickets and from that, we get to use tiny, subpar facilities? For shame.
