It's so awesome that [tos] got a Tony nom! But I think it's disappointing to include Hunter and not Jeff considering the show is the brain baby of both of them. But I suppose life is not fair and we should be grateful for what we get. Congrats, [tos]!
I'm so happy for Hunter! But I wish Heidi would have been nominated. I would have killed for a best musical nomination just to see them perform on the tonys. It would just be an amazing moment for them and as a fan I would have loved to witness it.

(talking from California) "We just wanted to fly out here for the announcement, just to seem glamorous and bi-coastal. I'm in a Prius, in a pool. We got up. I'm out here with Jeff [Bowen], working on a project. We totally woke up. Hell, yeah, we woke up. I am proud to represent [tos]. It's mixed emotions. I love my collaborators, and am super excited for my nod of recognition. I would love to have seen Jeff's score recognized. But we're small and scrappy and a dream come true. I somehow feel like they're all happy for him but that it is a little awkward with some very weird mixed emotions. I just feel like they should have been honored more. *#@% Rock of Ages. Sorry, im still very angry. The bitchy theatre geek has taken over for the day. looking on the bright side and am happy they are going to be represented even if its in one award they probably will not win.

It felt like Sophie's Choice with the [tos] girls, but I would have happily taken Susan getting a nod over Carole Shelley having had a writing credit in the show and such a brilliant performance. That, and the fact that Heidi will certainly be back in an amazing musical role at some point in the future makes me wish the Tony committee would have recognized Susan this round...

don't you think it's a little weird that they've barely acknowledged hunter's tony nomination on their blog? just a small mention in the middle of a blog about something totally unrelated. i wonder if this whole thing is causing some tension between them all. i mean, i think jeff's score should have been recognized (especially over that parton drek) but, you'd think they'd be more excited for their friend.

I think the fact that people are rooting for [title of show] to get nominated for Tony awards JUST because they want it the most than anybody else is complete B.S.!!!
They deserve to get nominated because their show is AMAZING and actually deserves it not just because they want it. Yes them wanted it the most does help for the happiness but they should have gotten more nominations because some stuff that was nominated was Pure CRAP compare to what [title of show] is. Elton John and Dolly Parton can both kneel down and suck [title of show]'s peepy (I can't say what I want on this site). I would much rather listen to [tos] than Billy Elliot or 9to5 ANYDAY. The book is smart and whittey and the score is fun and clever
Susan deserved to be nominated instead of Carole Shelley. Jeff instead of Elton John. [title of show] instead of Rock of Ages or Shrek. Come on Tony voters..what drug do they have you on.
I'm thinking about it. I don't have anyone to go with and the fact that you HAVE to spend an additional $25 on food is really going to kill me, but it's [tos] and who knows when I'll have the opportunity to see them all together again!
Sorry if this has been answered I havent been on the boars for a while, but what exactly should I expect tomorrow at Feinsteins?
