enjoy! i know i did!!!!
OMG........It looks so amazing. I was kind of dissapointed that they did not have at least one of the cast members sing, but that is a small quibble in a great trailer.
It looks incredible. I really hope Phantom stays open until then, because ticket sales will boost like crazy. Everyone and everything looks great. It actually looks pretty scary. A lot scarier than the show, but that adds something I think. For example, Christine lying on the bed, seemingly dead and the Phantom lowering the curtatin? Creepy.
You're my hero! Thanks for posting!
YAYYYYYYYYY!
man, it looks so intense. At first I was like "what the hell is that?" and then the music game in and I gasped. It looks incredible...very "artistic" in a way...the mask is just a bit...um...funky...and Emmy looks great. When they showed Raoul, my sister was all "eeewwwwww" because his hair is all nasty. O man, I'm so excited...
I WANT TO SEE THE MOVIE NOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!
It looks increbible!

My God I can't wait to see it. First day it comes out I'll be there!!! Thanks for posting!!!!
I admit I was a skeptic but from the 3 minutes taken from the persumably 150 minute film, at least 1/50 of this movie looks enjoyable!
yeah, i really don't think there's gonna be many (if not any) disappointments
Does anyone know which songs were cut?
The production of it, based on that preview, seems quite Luhrmann-esque. Anyone agree?
It does not seem nearly as dark as I would have imagined. Of course we've only seen little snippets so we'll all have to wait and see.
from what i heard, not much is cut... act 1 is still pretty much intact... act 2 is just a little out of order... the only scene i heard might be really different is the 2nd notes scene... but i don't know how they could take it out since its so important plot-wise... but i don't know if we can trust what is read on other discussion boards and people who were "on the set"... but we'll see... i think they'd have to be EXTREMELY careful when making changes... i mean, it IS PHANTOM OF THE OPERA... what more can be said about that?
BillyLawlor, I think Phantom is going to stay open for a very long time to come. I mean, it still is immencely popular and making a lot of money yearly. But, I agree.....the movie is going to make the ticket sales skyrocket.
I also have heard they kept almost all of the score intact. Webber also wrote two new songs for the Phantom to sing to give us more of a back ground of that they only hinted at with the musical. I think it will be the best musical movie so far (but, it is the Phantom of the Opera, so it goes without saying.)
Well, the movie itself looks good, but the trailer is really poorly done. It looks like it was pieced together by an automatic clip editor - every snippet seems arbitrarily chosen and they are all exactly the same length; it's hard to gather anything from them at all. And I didn't find the falling of the rose a particularly interesting climax to the trailer.
Still can't wait for the movie, though.
I wonder, did he write two new songs for the film, or are they songs he wrote for the sequel to Phantom that got scrapped.
You are my hero. I thought I missed it forever but now I can see it. I'm so happy.
I don't like this preview. Except for "All I Ask of You" and the underground scenes none of it looked to me like oh, that has to be "Prima Donna", and that has to be "Notes" and that looks like "Angel of Music". It all looked like additional scenes written for the movie and that's a bit distressing... and who is that crazy psycho lady with the crystal ball??? It looks like it's going to be massive and epic, but not a good representation of the stage show.... I see no way of doing "The Music of the Night" on film without killing it....
not trying to start a war or anything, so please don't think i'm getting upset, but just wanna make some clarifications. it's a TEASER trailer... meaning its supposed to give you a first look. most teasers don't show you much of anything from the movie and are just a way of saying "hey, look what's coming out soon." we'll probably see some more detailed trailers in the future that have sound clips, longer shots, whatever... definitely something better. i also watched the clip that was on entertainment tonight which was very similar to this. i was able to figure out what scene was what, and you really can tell which is which. and yeah, some changes had to be made for it to translate well to film. as far as the woman with the crystal ball, its from the flashback scene thats added to explain the phantom's life before the opera house. but yeah, keep watching for more previews in the future.. we are still 6 months away from the movie's opening, so it's still pretty early to show full stuff and keep everyone's attention without them getting sick of it. hope that helps some
