What show do you want to be revived on Broadway?
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
And I was also wondering have any Revivals been better than the Original in your opinion?
Well, to answer the first question...
WEST SIDE STORY.
Are there any new developments on the revival that was supposed to happen next year?
Ragtime. It will have been ten years soon. I'm not sure that a revival cast could live up to the original, though.
Yeah, I would love to see West Side Story too.
Gypsy!
Just kidding...

I know its only been 7 years, but....PARADE! it needs to be done.
EVITA
Funny Girl
West Side Story
The Sound of Music- I know it was just revived, but I want them to revive the original. Not that revival script that sucked, the old one. With the exception of Something Good. That song is much better than An Ordinary Couple.

I would love to see A Revial of EVITA AND ROCKY HORRROR. Does anyone know if they are going to do one?

rocky horror just closed in 2002 so it will probably be a while for a revival of that, and there has been talk of an Evita Transfer, but that too will probably be a couple years off, maybe late 07
Coolkid - They already did Rocky Horror revival in 2000.

I would love to see a reimagining of Pippin. There's a lot of things you could do with it. The problem is that because Fosse was involved, no one wants to touch it. It's too sacred or something. The sound and music of the show could be very easily updated so it sounds more 21st century and less 1970s. If they totally redid Chicago and revived Sweet Charity, they can do Pippin.
And I'm not just talking about new productions of the old version of the show, like the one Goodspeed is doing now, or Seattle's 5th Avenue did last May. I want the Leading Player to be a woman, as is sometimes the case. I want minimalistic set pieces. I want it to be more sinister and less sexual.

Chess, because I love the music, but haven't seen any version of the show.

I'd love to see a Bye Bye Birdie revival. It's been so long and the material is so dated, I'd love to see how it might be updated for the modern day (some of the references would obviously have to change). Still, it's such a fantastically funny show, and, in my opinion, Jewish mothers have never been bigger. :)
