That FROZEN performance will sell tickets.
That performance was very weird. The voices weren't great.

The Lion King won best musical and that means its not all about high art."
So does Spamalot winning best musical.

She does a little yes but I had the chance to see her and she was fantastic as Anna! I loved her and she really made me love Anna more
Everyone repeat the mantra:
My opinion doesn't have to be your opinion/a Tony Voters opinion/Dollypop's opinion/Stephen Sondheim's opinion, and your opinion doesn't have to be my opinion.
The buzz on Twitter is big! That performance will sell a lot of tickets for Frozen! Caissie was great! Loved her “girl is gone”

And yet Spongebob won a tony for scenic design! woops
I really thought Spongebob was getting Sound Design. Huge fan of TBV, but really surprising how hard they are destroying other shows.

I wonder if he wasn’t Nathan Lane if he would’ve won. I’m in the minority that wasn’t blown away.

That NY Times Survey really told us everything. If about 80% of people were voting for TBV for Best Musical AND a sizable portion of them did it as a protest vote against the other shows, this is what was going to happen.

Can't agree at al.. Some of Nathan's choices (especially in act two) haunted me for weeks and weeks.
Nathan was incredible and put everything he had into his performance. Still gives me chills. Especially Part 2. I think there was no surprise in that category.

They REALLY don't like Spongebob. Frankly, I'm surprised they even awarded it Scenic Design. Ethan Slater should be very, very nervous right about now.
Wouldn't it have made more sense to give ALW this award last year, when he had four shows running on Broadway at one time? Just a thought.

Destroying?? WTF?

Wow.
I wish Chita's and ALW's speeches weren't on the commercial break.

Sorry for the weird phrasing, haha. I just meant they're really not spreading the wealth right now.

Maybe they were unusually worried about a conflict-of-interests.

This is what I was trying to bring up. It's a problem if the Tony voters are made up of a bunch of people who are doing protest votes over actual votes based on the art showcased.
I have a huge problem with that. And so should everyone else.

Strange. I sat in first row mezz and had a real tough time hearing. We all laughed saying it would not win sound design. I guess you couldn't hear anything at all in the other shows!!!
