"@call_me_jorge, Alison Luff was not in the ensemble on the Wicked tour. She was an Elphaba."
I know that's why I said "...before Alison went out on tour..."

When Beautiful was playing the Curran in San Francisco during its out of town tryout, Abby was next door playing Abigal Adams in 1776 at American Conservatory Theatre. She was the best thing in a very mixed-bag production.
"Put away your smugness for a minute. Just because it's been done before doesn't mean people can't find delight in it. There's always going to be a couple MLB no-hitters every season, but just because someone's not the first doesn't mean it's not special."
I wasn't being smug and I am not arguing that for some it isn't special. I just fail to understand why some are troubled by it. So why don't YOU take your advice and put away YOUR smugness and stop projecting it onto me.
"No it won't. No one knows or cares who Jessie or Abby Mueller are beyond the Broadway community."
I think it might. People who love Carole King might want to know who played her on Broadway and might find it interesting that the sister of the actress who won the TONY for the role is taking it out on the road, just as we are now. I'm not saying that they all will care or find it interesting I have family members who don't care about Broadway but still wanted to find out who the actress was that was going to play their favorite artist and I'm sure they'll find it interesting that her sister is playing the part on tour. Yes, they probably won't know her name when they're asked it on Jeoprady, but I think people certainly care.
But the guy said one day so he's saying one day both of them we'll be more well known out of the Broadway community which might actually happen one day.

This is really sweet. Pretty cool to have the kind of sibling relationship where there's no prohibitive jealousy over not being the one who won the Tony for a role.
That's great! I remember I saw Abby Mueller in 1776 at the Geary theatre in San Francisco, and seeing Jessie in Beautiful the same week. The theatres are right next to each other, too. But I digress. She was great in 1776 and I bet she'll be great in Beautiful.
I can't help but wonder if people will see the name Mueller and think they're seeing the Tony-winning actress.
"One day this will be a great trivia question or will pop up on Jeopardy. No it won't. No one knows or cares who Jessie or Abby Mueller are beyond the Broadway community."
Jessie/the show was actually a Jeopardy question a couple of weeks ago. So, someone must've cared.

I don't remember exactly what the question was, but they all got it right. I believe it was something to the effect of "This musical, which won a Tony award for Jessie Mueller, was based on the life of which singer-songwriter?"

Yes. There was a week of performances in Newsies where Celia KB played Crutchie.
