Aida and Miss Saigon. the fact that i missed either of these shows is just ridiculous, and both is pretty much unforgivable...sigh.

There are so many shows I wish I had seen, but ones that haven't been mentioned yet are Batboy, The Wild Party, and Marie Christine. I would say also The Last Five Years and Parade. But, to be fair, they were out before I really got into musical theatre.

theatre.

When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere

The main ones that come to mind are:

"Godspell" The Off-Broadway production with Sho and Barrett
I have the DRS soundtrack but have yet to see the show.

I wish I could have see Urinetown, Annie Get Your Gun, and Aida.

I live nowhere near NYC so I buy cast CDs of shows I'm interested in all the time even without seeing it first.

I wish I'd seen "The Scarlet Pimpernel" with Douglas Sills and Rachel York.

ENJOLRAS: YES, YES, and DEFINATELY YES! Jane Eyre is a good C. D, but the actual stage show flopped, but left quite a following. If you like shows such as Phantom, Les Miz or Woman in White (Another good one) You'll like Jane Eyre.

ASSASSINS, goshdarnit!!

So many others but Assassins is the one I'm REALLY kicking myself over.

They should hold a special one night revival of the revival just for me.

That show with that cast was made to have me in the audience. It's everything and everyone I'm in love with rolled into one.

Alas I shall have to make do with my cast recording. re: Who has bought a cast recording of a show that closed and made you regr

L5Y for me too. That is one of my favorite soundtracks.

I had just finished shooting a coffee commercial. And ain't it ironic? I don't drink coffee. Coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee.

I recommend "Jane Eyre" even if you don't like "Phantom," "Les Miz," or "The Woman in White." I don't think those are in any way a prerequisite for liking "Jane Eyre." I find the JE score to be superior to the other three mentioned though I like each of those others to a certain extent.

As for the productions I wish I'd seen:

Ragtime (saw The Sound of Music instead...what kind of horrible mistake was that -- well, I was 13)
Taboo
Caroline, or Change
Jane Eyre
A Class Act
A Man of No Importance
Parade
The Frogs
Sunday in the Park with George (even though I wasn't born then and I didn't count any other pre-birth musicals, it's so rarely seen!!)

I'm very glad to have seen Assassins and The Light in the Piazza, as those would have been some of my biggest regrets.
