Road to El Dorado(Is that animated movie a musical already?)
The Prince of Egypt(I would so see that if Roger Bart was in it. Remember King David?) That's all I can think of now.

I think ORIGINAL SIN would make a great stage musical.

My Best Friend's Wedding
Pretty Woman
Moulin Rouge

Under the Tuscan Sun.

Funny, sweet, romantic and contemporary UTTS is sort of a "Do I Hear A Waltz?" that could actually sing. And if you watch the movie, it's got the perfect number of principal and ensemble roles for a modern musical.

This is also a not perfect movie that could actually be improved upon with the transition to the stage.

Everybody go rent the DVD tomorrow. Diane Lane is so charming, and an old man who never says (sings re: movies you wish they would make into musicals) a word sets just the right tone for this kind of fluff.

These requests to see "BatMan" on Broadway reminds me of an old Mad TV skit.

The did a parody of what "BatMan, The Musical" would look like on Broadway. They had Tommy Tune playing Batman, swinging around lampposts and singing, "I'm Batman!".

With Ben Vereen as Robin! It was hysterical, made even funnier with "clips from the documentary" of the rehearsals of the show. Wish I had recorded it...

Kill Bill VOL I--They could make it like Galagher and hand out tarps and raincoats to the first few rows so they don't get their clothes dirty with prop blood!

Did Mommie Die

The Princess Diaries

LEGEND! That would be a good one!

Dawn of the Dead

Buffy the Vampire Slayer-a mix of the movie and the tv series

GLITTER was a good suggestion, but Mariah would have to still be in it. probably would be better than the movie

Mambo Kings... oh wait, they already did that and it got dusted. That's a shame.

I love some of the ideas people have on here! They are great, and I usually don't like movies turned musical. Would love to see some of the suggestions though

My suggestions:

Anne of Green Gables

Bowfinger (of course): Maybe Eddie can do Jiff again.

Twilight Zone episode about a man who died and thinks he's in heaven (because he wins at gambling all of the time) but he discovers at the end he's really in hell.

Someone mentioned Paper Moon, which already was a musical w/ music by Larry Grossman. It was at Paper Mill with Gregory Harrison and in Philadelphia's Walnut St. Theater (where I saw it.)
It flopped and never made it to B'way, even though it had alot of potential.
