Pretty much any song from "Follies". "Losing My Mind" is devastating.
"If I Loved You" from "Carousel"...also "You'll Never Walk Alone", both could be uplifting depending on the way you perceive them.
The list is endless. And so are the perceptions of each and every song written.

You didn't say if you are limiting list to certain years---but I can remember my mother always playing cast recordings and I remember a song from Stop The World I Want To Get Off. It became the signature song for its gifted star Anthony(Tony) Newley

It was about a man who when taking stock of his so called successful life realized he had nothing because he had discarded the people who cared about him and never really experienced love.
