Forbidden Broadway: Roast of Utopia
Speech and Debate (LA production for radio)

Only tick, tick...BOOM!, The Last 5 Years and [title of show] have reduced me to tears. I felt very exposed, sobbing in the first and third rows, respectively, of the latter two, but it simply couldn't be helped! In the Heights came really close.
Spelling Bee, probably. Could barely breath at a couple points!!
Its funny because i was in tears the first time i saw DRS, however when I saw it a second time on tour, it was terrible.

Xanadu (I have no idea why but I completely LOST IT during "Don't Walk Away")
Phantom (I know that's a cliche but the end gets me if it's done well)
Forever Plaid (again, no idea why but the ending got to me).

The first time I saw Xanadu. After a couple of glasses of wine with dinner and so many laughs during the show, I lost it when Mary Testa made the remark to Tony Roberts about the "tie around the head thing".
Cupid is as Cupid Does... the improv sketch musical in Chicago made me literally pee my pants.
Avenue Q...the first time i saw it
The Goat or Who is Sylvia.... until halfway thru scene 2 when i realized i shouldnt be laughing! but then i believe that was Albee's point!

laughing
first night of previews of [title of show] when the audience laughed at EVERYTHING.
Speech and Debate was hilarious
August: Osage County. The dinner scene alone could have won the Tony. Or several.
crying:
Don't Do Sadness at JGJ's last show, and when the father cries in Left Behind. And in Purple Summer.
A Chorus Line...Paul's Monologue
in spamalot...
-trots on horse in- "im looking for a man"
"....i assumed"
-pauses then gives the audience a confused look-. i pee myself.
I have never laughed as hard as I did when I saw Spelling Bee.
I could barely breathe by the end!

Urinetown. I would give anything to see the original cast again.
Reading the comments on here by so many about the closing of 'Xanadu' Hahahahahahaaahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa
I laughed really hard during The Producers when Gary Beach is doing "Springtime for Hitler" or during "Keep it Gay."
The best one is Young Frankenstein. Roger Bart and especially Chris Fitzgerald when they ad lib their lines, especially during the abby normal scene when Roger asks Chris to sit on a chair and Chris just starts doing all this hilarious stuff on the chair with his feet and it makes Roger crack up!! That is probably the funniest thing i've ever seen on stage.
Cried: At Chris Fitzgerald's last performance of Young Frankenstein. It was really sad and Roger made a great speech at the end.

Hardest time I laughed... probably in between Spelling Bee and [title of show]. Xanadu made me guffaw at points too. And Avenue Q is a barrel of laughs as well. I can't pinpoint any specific moment, but I guess those are the funniest overall experiences I've had.

Avenue Q (Especially Christmas Eves wedding dress.)
Spelling Bee (When they asked the definition for Jihad.)
Palm Beach The Screwball Musical @ The La Jolla Playhouse.
Pretty much any Improv show I have seen anywhere (Last night I went to one, took a swig of water, and something so funny happened I spat it out of my mouth like Shamu...all over the row in front of me. THAT was embarrassing.)

Totally agree, the original production of "Noises Off" with the incomparable Dorothy Loudon was the funniest show I have ever seen, I laughed so much it hurt. The revivial and the god-awful movie pale in comparison.
I'm not the biggest one for reacting in the theatre. I think it's the years of "sit still in chair, remain quiet, and everyone can hear the show" that have been pummelled into me. Genuinely hilarious stuff doesn't raise much more than a titter. When tears start streaming down my face, I keep my mouth FIRMLY shut so no embarrassing "SOB!"s emerge. I'm very sparing with my standing Os.
That being said...
Laughed
'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'
'The Drowsy Chaperone' ('Bride's Lament'; oh god, I hadn't even heard the cast recording when I went to see the show, so this part just killed me XD)
Cried
'Bent'. Yeah, who'd've thought that a play about homosexuality and the Holocaust would've had such a downer of an ending? :P
That... might be it. I know I've laughed and cried during plenty of shows, but these are the only ones with such a large reaction as to be notable. :3

The Producers, "Springtime for Hitler" is hard to top, but
Avenue Q, "Internet is for Porn, "Sucks to be Me"
DRS, Hairspray, and
Thoroughly Modern Millie, "Speedtest", "Forget About the Boy" (featuring Anne L Nathan)! All come close.
Also, I'm a big fan of Forbidden Broadway.

Avenue Q...Baltimore... the sex scene... after the audience had quieted down, a guy about 5 rows back said, perhaps a lil louder than he meant to, "Man, that was sooo funny", thereby setting off our section of the audience again. Even the actors on stage did a quick look in our direction with that "no one usually laughs here" kind of look.
