Titanic (1st National tour in SF) was the worst show I've sat through. The storylines they were interweaving did not interest me, the sets were boring, I can't recall one song that I enjoyed or even remembered, and the "sinking" effect was laughable.
And you shouldn't be laughing when the Titanic is sinking.
"My dreams, watching me said, one to the other...this life has let us down."
Speaking in terms of Broadway-only....while Good Vibes and Dracula were both bad, they were nothing even CLOSE to how absolutely appallingly horrific LESTAT is.
Titanic was the worst musical i ever saw. The score is great, the lyrics fine, but the book sucked. You didn't have any reason to care about the characters, there was no growth or change, it was too A Night to Remeber-ish. In a musical, you have to care for the characters, and here i just didn't.

"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
The worst one in recent memory is THE 10 COMMANDMENTS The Musical with VAL KILMER. At the Kodak theatre in Los Angeles. They announced it would go to New York--I don't think there's much hope for that.
The ones I remember from the past are "Promised Valley", a Mormon musical I saw in Salt Lake City years ago. It ran at the Promised Valley Playhouse every summer for years, and another Mormon musical "Brigham" that I saw at Brigham Young University and which had the lyrics "All shake hands in a great big circle, all shake hands in a great big square. All shake hands 'til your knuckles quirkle..." It's stuck in my memory forever.
Interesting, they all have religious themes.
Yes, we do need a third vampire musical.--Little Sally, Gypsy of the Year 2005.
I would have LOVED to see Raggedy Ann, best12bars. Too bad I was four years old when it came out and I wouldn't have understood anything that was going on. (from what I hear, most adults didn't either) Flops nowadays just aren't what they used to be.
The recent revival of 'Night Mother. I just kept saying to myself "Hurry up and kill yourself". I was so excited when she finally did it that I almost applauded.
A really really really (to the 100th power) bad performance of Sound of Music done at my grandma's church. *shudders* and All the Disney on Broadway show's I've seen. If your over eight just don't go, I don't care how long the shows been running just don't see a Disney show on Broadway. Updated On: 4/11/06 at 05:09 PM
