I too wondered if they would use the reprise from the last revival or "Cinderella, Darling" to open the second act. I assume they will use "Cinderella," since it is an anniversary production.

I must defend the score too. Songs are written to help advance the story - these songs all do that. I don't think there is a bad song among the bunch. I have also been in the show - played Frump - but it is not all easy to sing.

Glad to hear people are finally enjoying a show.

Well, it's my subjective evaluation. Anyways, I recommend the show and it's quite fantastic :)
I just don't love the score. I like it though.
And "Brotherhood of Man" was certainly a showstopper.

Seeing this show the first week in April on my Spring Break trip to NYC.
I was very excited to see this show and now with these positive details I am going to be going crazy waiting for Spring Break to hurry up and get here!!

Yeah, that's why two of them became standards and were recorded by most popular and jazz singers of their time. And as some have said, there are more melodies and snappy tunes in this score then most of the shows of the last few years put together.
If you don't like them, so be it, but saying they are NOT great songs shows your lack of intelligence.

See it again or listen to the album. It's a great, great score.

Then listen to some other Frank Loesser music. He's one of the hidden treasures of musical theater.

I admit that this is one of my all-time favorite musicals. It always has been.

So...if this production wasn't any good, I would be the first to complain. But I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to seeing it a little later in the run. (And I am sure that my daughter is going to make me watch the movie again SOON.)

I just kinda wish they'd bring in John Lithgow to play J.B. Biggely.

BTW, I sat in the second row of the mezz, dead-center. Excellent sight views.

Whatever moron said How to Succeed didn't have a great score truly is...well, a moron. It's probably Loesser's best score-- at least, it's his best set of lyrics.

Daniel did an American Accent on the Talk Show ELLEN a while back and it was perfect...so I had no worries there...do I see "Tony-Award Winner Daniel Radcliffe" in How To Succeed hitting the Marquees in June?

That Ellen segment of him doing an American accent was precious! As I recall, Rupert, and Emma especially, didn't have such a successful go at it.
