I was at the final performance of Xanadu. The show was always a hoot, but NOTHING compared to the goings-on that afternoon. Jackie Hoffman tore the place apart!
"Once" is sure to be an emotional one. I had to choose between "Side Show" or "Once", but I know I will most likely never see a professional production of "Side Show" again.
Once was enough. If you liked it, great. It left my wife & I cold . Sorry. The movie was beyond boring.
Sideshow is better in everyway especially musically. Comparing the scores is like comparing a Kia (Once) to a Lexus (Sideshow)- no comparison. Not seeing either one for varying reasons.
It'll be at ONCE for it's final performance. Should be a great, emotional performance on Sunday.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I was offered tickets for the final SIDE SHOW but turned them down. I used to like attending final performances, but now it's considered appropriate for the 13-20 year olds to just do nothing but scream at the top of their lungs through the entire thing, no matter what show it is. It's beyond rude and just ruins the experience for me.
Marway 44 you've been very helpful and patient. Thank you. Cheapest ticket now showing on telecharge is $156. I have to say I'm a little perplexed. I have some connections with the show and we were told that we couldn't receive comps to the closing. Then I read about a couple of members on here receiving comp offers. Hmmm. Scratching my head.
I'm still looking for 1 inexpensive ticket for the closing night and another for Jan 1. If anyone has any leads, please let me know. I've purchased for the Friday and Saturday shows thru today tix.
Closing night of HEATHERS was one of the greatest nights of theater i've experienced. The house was full, everyone there was there because they simply loved the show, and the cast and audience ate every moment up. What a night!
