Has there been any announcement for the new Hedwig after JCM? Will it close after him? I would assume not since it's doing really well (I think).

Posted: 1/19/15 at 11:34amI don't think that they've announced it yet and I have no clue how well they're doing, but Cabaret will be closing in a few months so maybe Alan Cumming will be interested.

Unless they were announcing the closing, they will always say this, though, no?

Posted: 1/19/15 at 4:00pmI feel like if they were closing, they'd announce it, to drive as much sales into JCM run as possible. So, I'm assuming theyre going to recast or extend with JCM.

Posted: 1/19/15 at 4:15pmi can't imagine this show is very expensive to run, so unless they can't find anyone to do the role I'm sure they'll recast and keep going.

Anthony couldn't be the next Hedwig without a JCM extension, as JCM runs through 3/14 and Anthony is in If/Then through 3/22. Not sure how much time it would take him to even rehearse it and such if it were the case...
Never got to see Anthony do it in Pittsburgh, though, so I'd totally be fine with that.

Lambert is a judge on American Idol this season, and just announced he is with a new label to start recording his third album, so no Hedwig for him.
All of the potential Hedwigs have been discussed over and over again in many threads at this point, though.

I hope upon hope that they record JCM. There's no way I can get to see him so that would make my year.
I would absolutely freak out if Ewan McGregor came next.
