If Hilary is going to be the first female president, I didn't possible 2 weeks ago and thought Hilary was done. Michelle Obama will be the 2nd female president, an incredible smart person, smarter than her husband, gave a barnstorming speech last week, also she takes her kids to the theatre, so what not to like?
As a former British Prime Minister said and his character also won the Tony in the Audience; "A week is a long time in politics", so it be to prove for Trump.
"Oh, I thought that this thread was pretty significantly stupid, too."
Why? News media was already talking about Pence setting himself up for 2020 after VP debate. I understand it is long way away especially since 2016 election has not happened yet but hardly think it is stupid. IMO - stupid is a thread about the Kardashian's, Lindsay Lohan etc - lol.

Well, Kanye West and Lindsay Lohan did say they were going to run for president in 2020, so will those threads be stupid if it does come true?

This seems like a beacon of distant hope now. Who do the Dems run? Do they pivot to the Bernie/Warren wing? If so, which is the better candidate? Is Michelle Obama feasible? Any outsiders?
personally I don't see Michelle running in 2020. She's young, she can wait. Warren, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris seem like the top choices. Sanders will be 79 years old in 2020. If he gets elected and lasts 8 years, he'll be 87. Not a good sign & tot exactly something the DNC will be happy with.

A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

In my opinion, Warren was completely wasted in this election cycle. She has unique rhetorical gifts; she can explain complex issues in simple terms without condescending. However, in this cycle she only seemed to focus on the attach dog role. If she can get back to what she does best, she can be a formidable candidate.

I agree, madbrian. Warren is a tremendous asset who brings so much to the table when she's in her element. Perhaps a sitting Democratic governor will emerge as a good top of the ticket candidate who could be paired with Warren.
Four years is a long time. To put it in perspective from the GOP side, in 2012, Cruz and Rubio weren't even real players in the field yet. Giuliani was practically dead after his presidential bid crashed and burned.
Warren will be 71 in 2020. I love her and she was my first choice for the 2016 nomination back in 2014/15, but the Democrats really need to step it up with a fresh slate of candidates. We need a primary that's more than a one on one, if nothing else than to show we have more available and to build name and face recognition. That's one thing that GOP has done: they've been able to create a deep bench of people they can groom to run for higher office, thanks to their domination of governorships and state and local governments.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
I suggested 4 years ago that Nancy Pelosi should start grooming a successor. Now, she's a facing a challenge from OH representative Tim Ryan as House Minority leader. She'll likely win but it sends a firm message to her and the caucus that many of us have been whispering among ourselves for years. All the blame for the runaway Democratic congressional losses can not be placed at Obama's feet.
While 2020 will be a critical election, 2018 will be a challenge for the Dems. They'll be defending the majority of Senate seats, many in Rust Belt states Trump just carried.
