Alison Luff shared on instagram that she played Charity in the last NYC reading of the Greatest Showman and I was just wondering what characters everyone played. Does anyone have this information? https://instagram.com/p/Bc5MJsWh2XC/
I wouldn't be surprised if Jeremy Jordan played Zac Efron's character.
I also wonder if Cynthia Erivo played Zendeya's character.

There's a video from the reading of the cast performing the last song and apparently Jeremy Jordon sang for Hugh Jackman who wasn't supposed to sing due to his recent skin cancer removal. After a few mins in the video Hugh starts singing anyway because he's so moved by the music. I was wondering if Cynthia was the Zendaya role as well...
I think I’d be offended if Erivio was replaced by Zendya cause....c’mon...

Wow just think how killer of a cast that would be on Broadway. I’m gonna need this show adapted ASAP.

I would love to see Jackman, Jordan, Erivo, Luff and more in a show together, but...let's not start hoping for an adaptation of this movie. I've seen it, and...let's just say we don't need it.
It was never a concept of Erivo playing a role that she was later replaced in. Many of these actors were doing this (paid) workshop due to their connection to Pasek and Paul. The studio had an idea of who they were going with for many of the supporting players.

PREPARE FOR A KEALA/CYNTHIA RIFF OFF THAT WILL MELT YOUR FACE
It came out a few days ago to promote the movie and it was all over my facebook. Indeed Jordan sang for Hugh since he could not. At about 4:15, the camera pans to what I can only assume is the "supporting" roles as we see Keala, Cynthia, and I am pretty sure that Andrew Keenan Bolger is there as well. So perhaps he was the one that sang the role of Philip? You only catch the side of his face as he looks down in that moment when it pans over but he has a pretty distinctive face.

Keala Settle Retweeted Hugh Jackman
One of the scariest moments of my life. I was so petrified to let ppl see me that I had to reach for @RealHughJackman’s hand. He hasn’t let go since. This whole room was and remains FAMILY.
Keala Settle added,
This new video also confirms beyond a doubt that Andrew was the other guy at the supporting table for the reading so unless Jordan sang both Philip and filled in for Hugh on other songs.... which IS possible now that I think about it. Perhaps Jordan was meant to be Philip but when Hugh suddenly could not sing, who better to step in then someone that knew the songs already and was the closest one in the workshop to Hugh's voice? The only issue would be the duet with them both so have someone else come in and only have to quick learn one song rather than 5 songs. It would also explain why Andrew is so far down the line on the table. Philips would likely be sitting next to whoever is singing Annie's part aka Jordan sitting next to Erivo.
Gosh, these workshop videos are so great. I do hope if they are smart they make them into special features.

Watching this clip of "This Is Me" from the reading, who's the actor in the maroon hoodie singing Tom Thumb's part? I recognize him, but am drawing a blank.
