I need help!
i'm going to New York (live in toronto) and i have to make the terrible decision,
Spamalot
DRS
ALL SHOOK UP
-Which one?
keep in mind...fast up-beat music and must be FUNNY!...i was think Spamalot...please i need HELP!
Scoundrelllls.
DRS
I now have a review of all three shows in my blog.
DRS - you won't go wrong!
Not even close.
Scoundrels.
I would say DRS, unless you are a big fan of Azaria, Pierce, or Curry.
SCOUNDRELS. That's not a fair competition, dear.
Go see the Dirty boys! ASU, pft.
SPAMALOT! It's easier to get tickets to DRS, so if you have a chance to see Spamalot, go see it! I had an absolute blast there.
DRS by FARRRR
drs - sounds like someone farting. lol just kidding guys I have a blast at Dirty Rotten also.

well, how often do you come down to ny? I could see all three of those shows running for a fairly long time so id probably go to the show with the cast that interests me most since theyre all upbeat and funny...
See Alix and Cheyenne?
Hank Azaria and Sara?
John, Norbie, and Sherie?
...or see a show that won't be around for long. Like The Light in the Piazza, which as of now closes in September. Neither fast or upbeat, but it's sometimes funny and always gorgeous.

Rob a bank and see everything! Problem solved.
Are u a Python fan? Then SPAM- but if just straight out funny is yr bag- Then DRS. Borb is hysterical & Sherie is pretty & John dead pans like NO body else.
I am a Python fan - and look what happened....
I was just going to say, THen.
I'm a huge Python fan. The show is very disappointing.
I know the show is a lot better than I make out in my review - but, seriously, it was lacking too much....
ASU is sooo much fun!!
and for the $19.55 seats you see everything and have money to see another show as well!
DRS definitely - I only have the cast recordings of Spamalot and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and I would definitely see DRS over Spamalot - but I'm seeing both in a few weeks!

HMM to me the problem w the show is it is TOO similar to the film, a bunch of VERY loosely connected sketches w an as about far out as u can get resolution. Still, I laughed till I lost my breath @ started coughing! BUT as for memorable songs or even memorable moments- bust!
I haven't seen Spamalot, but saw DRS and ASU with some friends a few weeks ago.
I'd definitely go to DRS but my friends enjoyed more ASU.
DRS fits your description of a very funny, upbeat and entertaining show... best company on Broadway today..and even if you have DRS tickets you can try the lottery to get front row tickets for 26.50--they cannot be beat!
Also, keep in mind Hank Azaria is out of Spamalot beginning June 6 or so (after the Tonys) and won't return until Thanksgiving.
Spamalot! Funniest show I've seen since Urinetown.
