Hairspray is one of my favorite Broadway shows because it's so full of ENERGY! But the actors in the film look they have absolutely NO enthusiasm. No one looks like they're really getting into it at all. So sad.
The video that they showed from when Nikki was told she got the role was just adorable. Not going to lie - I teared up a little bit.
Must say, I've never been much of an Efron fan, but not only was I impressed with his little bit during the medley, but this 60s look is amazing on him. He's a very goodlooking kid.
I found Oprah's comment "Can you believe it? 11 months ago, she used to work at an ice cream shop and now she is starring a film" very offensive. I just don't like Oprah. She should know better, and she has no charisma. She was bitchy in person, and her interviews are just not very good. Nikki isn't a great singer, Zac did sound pretty good though. I enjoyed the Hairspray clips, but those are just clips, I'll judge the movie, when I see it.

I know it's true, is the way she said it, to be honest. As if having a job that doesn't pay like a Hollywood A list gig, was a bad thing, and as if someone who doesn't get to do that kinda work is inferior to people like Oprah.

I currently work at a Cold Stone Creamery. When do I get to get discovered?!?!?!?!? I feel like all those girls who made themselves sick drinking sodas at Schwabb's hoping to be the next Lana Turner!

Now what could you have possibly found offensive about that? It is unbelievable. 11 months ago Nikki was working in an ice cream shop on Long Island and now she starring in a $75 million dollar movie musical. Like that happens everyday.
