Am I the only one that misses this show. Do you think this show will be revived soon?

LOL, I love how you were completely off. In your Subject, you said it's been 3 years but in your Message you say it's been 5. For the record, it's four years tomorrow. It closed September 5, 2004.

Four, not for, if we are correcting other poster's errors.
Crazy crazy crazy. Times goes by way too fast.
I would have loved to see it on Broadway and cannot wait to see it revived. I love the OBCR.

I saw it twice in NY and 3 times at the Kennedy Center. I enjoyed it each time. I think it's too soon to see it get revived. Heather Headley was the best Aida no doubt...i also saw Deborah Cox...who I mostly know from the dance floor, and I thought she was quite good in the role. Love her voice! Paulette Ivory was the lead in the tour I saw in DC...she was fantastic. The first time I saw it we had Adam Pascal's understudy...who I thought was great...and I wonder now if it was Cheyenne Jackson. Don't have the playbill...so can't be sure. I do wish that they would have not resorted to the stunt casting so soon into the run...Toni Braxton...Michelle T Williams...Taylor Dane?
I think when the stunt casting starts it is the equivalent of "jumping the shark"
Aida is one of my favorite musicals!

I never got to see it but I have "heard" it with Cheyenne Jackson,Lisa Brescia and Saycon Sengbloh.
It was a piece of crap and despite its run ( and PJ can tell me if I am wrong) it lost money.

Oh, this thread sooooo funny. I have no opinion on Aida, I just had to tell you guys that you're inadvertently being f**king hilarious.
Can someone remind me again how to block idiot posters?
That workshop Act One Finale is really pretty good! But it incorporates two songs that are now in the second act. What songs did they use in act two??? Strange...
I say this truly, with all due respect...but why do you find fault with us for sharing our thoughts about sonething that we enjoyed? Are we breaking some unwritten BWW rule? Is the fact that we are sharing our views and memories about a show that we enjoyed making us all automatically "idiot posters"?
I think he was referring specifically to stupidbeans who everyone has been having problems with lately.
>despite its run ( and PJ can tell me if I am wrong) it lost money.<
It didn't. It recouped.
Here, just for reference, is frontrowcentre's very helpful list of Broadway musical hits and flops, as determined by Variety. Aida is designated as a hit.

The bigger issue is not that it closed four year ago, its that its been about seven year since Heather Headley have been on Broadway
