My family and I have tickets for 9 to 5 on saturday at 8pm. Can anyone tell me if Allison Janney signs, takes pictures or even comes out at the stage door after an 8pm show?
Many thanks!
I think it depends...I read a post here recently saying that she had not come out one evening, but when I went about two weeks ago, she signed, took photos, and was incredibly kind.
^ lucky!! When I went a few weeks ago on a Thursday night she did not come out. Oh well :)

When I went on a Saturday night she came out and took pics.
It took her a while, but she came out, signed, took pics, and was uber-friendly and grateful!
Allison is seriously the nicest actor i've encountered at the stage door. I told her how i had just watched drop dead gorgeous that day and she started quoting the film with me. She is a such doll.
I saw the show Tuesday the 9th and she came out last and was AWESOME.

She wasn't feeling well last Sat (according to the security guard). and didn't come out.
While I'm sure she was being perfectly reasonable, I love the logic that she's well enough to perform a 2 and a half hour Broadway musical but not to sign autographs.
The show is what she's paid for, not to sign autographs. She only has so many sick days before she will get the big boot.
oh my goodness, iamchanging, I am so jealous. During intermission, my friend and I kept talking about Drop Dead Gorgeous and I really wanted to mention it to Janney at the stagedoor, but I was nervous she'd 1.) not realize the reference or 2.) be like, I'm C.J. from West Wing and you're going to whip out "most smartest" from DDG?
Anyways, awesome story...
it'd be better to whip out "most smartest" than "I got some!"
"no, she's just screamin' 'Ma! Ma!' cause' she got Tourette's"!
Dammit I love that movie...and her.
I am so glad to see all the love for Drop Dead Gorgeous on this thread!!! Allison Janney is amazing.
"Oh, I just love St. Paul Pork Products...in fact, I love em' so much...
...I WORK HERE NOW!"
"Well, if they ask you to take your top off, be sure to get the money first."
(I'm kind of obsessed.)
Can we hypothetically cast a Drop Dead Gorgeous musical? Janney obvi has to reprise her role.

Actually Sweetie, if you saw the show Saturday, she would have performed two shows, so that would be five hours while not feeling well. I'm sure she would rather disappoint a few at the stage door and not the 2000 plus that paid to see both shows.
"They're never gonna let you perform naked, I asked!"
[favorite thing about this movie? Amy Adams got her start in it. whoda thunk?]
I for one am totally in favor of a Drop Dead Gorgeous musical. maybe Lea Michelle as Becky Leeman?
but who for the star role of Gladys? Harriet Harris? Patti LuPone?
"I sure do...Amer..I can!"
haha, the image of Patti doing Gladys' scenes after the swan explodes or when she holds the chicken place hostage is amazing.
"Ya guys want shots? i'm buyin!"
"He sells reproductions! His furniture's as fake as my orgasms!"
"Hey sweetie... a million viewers arent gonna wait while you run to the john."
"Get off of my dress you clumsy retard!"
Loving all the Drop Dead Gorgeous quotes! I love that movie and of course, Allison Janney.
I think if this happened, Christine Ebersole would have to play Annette Atkins.
