I've been saying for a long time that Trump doesn't want to be president, but he also doesn't want to considered a loser, either.  I think the only outcome that will suit him is a close loss, where he'll be able to claim a rigged election.  If it looks like a blowout is inevitable, I wouldn't be surprised if some health issue is used as an excuse to step aside.  However, that may not be until the first debate (if he shows up for it).

He'll redefine what "winning" means, just as he's always done.

He could lose the election but still maintain he won because the election was rigged.

 

Madbrian- but how could he cite issues? Don't you remember his totally legitimate doctor's note, saying he would be the healthiest president in the history of everything?

I believe the polls will tighten before debates as before the convention.  There will be some ridiculous email or other event that the media will hype and the GOP lemmings will attack Clinton.  

I would expect a significant bounce after the debates - Trumps SNLskit stump speech will likely fail during the debates. 

This remains a very scary time - Trump is frightening and if you watch the tapes of the rallies - his supporters are rabid!

He can't drop out until he has at least one debate with Hillary! I will put money on him backing out of any further debates saying that they are rigged against him.

Another positive sign is Obama's approval ratings.  He is consistently in the 52-54 range and a net +7 or +8, which is high for this point in a typical administration.

What makes someone Middle Class as opposed to poor or rich? Is there an official salary?

I am in a bit shock that Hilary says she is raising taxes on the Middle Class, even more so that she is cheered for it. I understand raising on the rich, but the Middle Class is everyday people, right?

It's a bit easier to hear the "aren't" if the video speed is slowed down in YouTube settings on that video to 0.5.  I knew that ("aren't" had to be what she said, but I admit I needed the speed slowed down to hear it for sure. (Maybe due to my southern ears!)

I'll admit that her diction is a bit sloppy there, so I can see why some might do a double take on what they heard. To my ears she said "aren'" (basically dropping the "t" on the contraction), which, given what she was saying leading up to it, still led me to believe that she was saying/meaning "aren't"

Petra - no one, and I mean no one, is buying your "I'm just asking, guys" routine.  You know god damn well that she said "aren't" in that clip.  As though ANY serious presidential candidate would make a speech announcing her intention to raise taxes on the middle class.  Come on!   Negative campaigning is the norm, but to take a clip of Hillary clearly saying she would NOT raise taxes on the middle class and placing blatantly false captioning is just vile.  And you, repeating these falsehoods as though they are fact (and as if Fox News is anyway reliable news source) proves once and for all what ridiculous troll you are.  I've shown way too much patience with you, but we all - I mean all of us - can see you for what you are.  So, continue this innocent "devil's advocate" or "I'm just asking questions" routine if you want, but beyond Moxie and AfterDeath, I don't know who you think you're reaching.

Everybody must listen to and see these true BIGOTS in action! This should be a commercial for HRC with no voice-over needed whatsoever! WE must NOT and will NOT let this Li'l Hitler become President. Every single Brave Republican is a shameless and weak coward if they continue to support this hatred. 

(At least Paul Ryan seems to be growing a little pair today; we'll see what happens later!)
