I like Joy. She is one of the few reasons I still watch. But I prefer her in the studio. The Zoom crap is hardest on her. I do miss Ana Navarro when she is not on. Sunny has grown on me. Megan is insufferable . What a unlikeable creature.

So are all of them under contract through 2022?

I agree about Joy. I am actually having a hard time watching her these days. With the delay on the video service they use, she comes off as really unhinged sometimes. And she has been really mad for the past 4 years as it is.
I have to remember to pull today's show up tomorrow thru On Demand to see if she shot back at Meghan over their fallout the other day regarding the "coup". I missed the beginning of it the other day and walked in on the middle of their exchange. But since that rep tweeted out that it was a coup yesterday while everything was happening I was thinking "Oh boy, Joy is going to go after Meghan tomorrow morning."

Posted: 1/7/21 at 4:06pmWhoopi has talked about wanting to return to the studio. Thinking for September and their new season they have a chance. If everyone is under contract through 2022, I can see them all leaving after that season and the show is forced to get all new cohosts and revamp the show.

Maybe it will just get a partial revamp? It still does really well. No?
I got a kick out of this piece on CNN Business. https://www.cnn.com/videos/media/2021/01/06/joy-behar-vs-meghan-mccain-the-view-moos-vpx.cnn/video/playlists/wacky-world-of-jeanne-moos/

Whoa...ageist, much? Who cares how old she is? She's one of the most insightful, articulate, lucid, funny people on the show that still make it worth watching. Poor Barbara is the one who started getting forgetful so they kind of forced her to retire. She's a hero to all women in Broadcasting (which I am, along with part-time acting. I often wonder if the reason we really haven't heard about Barbara in quite a while is that she was official diagnosed with the dreaded Alzheimers or dementia and is struggling, so they keep her out of the spotlight.)
In other news...and it's not to be disparaging or judgmental but just asking for clarification: did Meghan get some kind of nose job, cheek lift or face lift? Her face looks different since coming back from maternity leave/holiday break and it's not just her makeup. Can't put my finger on it.

I have to say though when they were talking about Murder In The Neighborhood it gave me the chills. You never really know the people in your building until something like that happens.

No, I think it was a podcast they were referring to that had to do with a NYCHA complex in Brooklyn where several people were murdered by a serial killer. Given that it was a low income senior building the police did not give it all much mind and security cameras were broken and not maintained. One person was strangled with a phone cord. There have been reports of another building in Hell’s Kitchen that recently had a series of murders as well.

From what I've been told, they will all return and in studio this fall. No promises of an audience though till 2022.

I'd expect them to be back in the studio by September. Maybe just a limited audience though.

From what I've been told, ABC doesn't want them even risking it with an audience till 2022. That if they're going to bring one back, they want it the way it was. Full crowd and no masked, forcing them to wait till 2022. I can tell you...there were discussing about a set redesign that would put the show completely in the round but it was ultimately decided the half moon table was too iconic to alter (or at least try to alter) again.
I will say, as a viewer. I think it desperately needs to be back in studio.

Having been virtual now for a year hasn't hurt their ratings but the show is different. They can't interrupt if they want an arguement or need to disagree with someone. I still think they'll push to get them back int he studio by September.
Meghan showed her privledge on today's show: "The fact that I, Meghan McCain, COHOST OF THE VIEW, don’t know when or how I will be able to get a vaccine”

Sorry to keep bringing this up but find this so fascinating and want to listen/read. Any links? Can’t find anything

FYI, they are on Spring break this week.
On one of the shows last week they were talking about the coronavirus and that the plan is to return to the studio "soon". This was during the conversation with Robin Roberts who returned the GMA studios recently.

I can tell you their goal is to return in the fall, hopefully...with a new set.

I agree. Also, I think the unconditional support the ladies have given her throughout this has softened her.
