This is modern day slavery and should be illegal.

Golly, Bank of America is usually so ethical.
I'm simply reminded of my home state's Senator Elizabeth Warren's simple comment regarding the avaricious culture of investment banks: "Banking should be boring."

A combination of exhaustion and caffeine overdose perhaps, not to mention pre-existing conditions?

Pre-existing condition exacerbated by stress on the body.
College kids all over the world push themselves to ridiculous extremes all the time and don't fall down dead. Who hasn't done the all night cram session or the all night type the research paper?
Blaming BoA for the death of this kid is like blaming RENT on the death of Larson.
FYI.
Damned that RENT!

SNAFU, did you know that BroadwayWorld doesn't pay its interns? I just found that out. Read it somewhere here in this thread, I think. Strange, huh?
uh oh LIARSHEADBAND is wearing her tinfoil hat with her conspiracy theories again.
Headband,
Interns are always generally unpaid. That's why they are called interns. Otherwise it would be called an apprenticeship.
Not true DIVA, i have many friends who have paid internships. and the guy in the article was paid as well.
Anyway, next week is my last week of working for da man!
"Interns are always unpaid. That's why they are called interns."
If you're referencing BWW interns, then yes, but interns aren't always unpaid. I had two paid summer internships back in college.
Which is why I edited my post, for clarification.
Noted, TheatreDiva90016 - I think we posted at the same time.
Yea, I realized I needed to re-write that...
I heard tell BWW did pay it's interns. I know I pay mine here in the shop. They get paid $19-$20 an hour.
I wanna come work for you! You do fun things!!!

I was being facetious, Diva. :)
I like "always generally," Diva.

Theatre internships certainly don't pay interns much, if at all.
But other professions do pay them. I've known people in stock and nursing internships who received a pretty good hourly wage for the duration of their internship.
That is such an odd mistake because TheatreDiva always generally has such a good grasp of the English language. You know, always generally speaking.
