Killing off the gay couple would be a bad decision considerng that a large number of this hows audience are gay men. I was hoping that the introduction of thse characters to the show was a way of showing apprciation for that support. Where would DH b without the throngs of queens who have faithfully tuned in every Sunday night?
Besides, they were additional eye candy to Tom, Mike, Carlos and now, Adam.
I only meant that this show has a history of introducing characters and just dumping them after they are given NOTHING to do...What ever happened to Carl? The amazing Alfre Woodard was WASTED...along with various other plot points that just drifted away.
I keep wanting this show to be better than it is.
I am still going with Ida. While she is not great friends with everyone, once someone dies on this show it was like almost everyone was friends with them.
And it is true...it CANNOT be Tom since Victor died. People need to pay more attention!
I think the next episode (whenever we get it) will start with Lynette's family getting rescued. There is no way she is battling with cancer then losing her entire family..especially since one of the people in charge of the show said three people die
double post.

"People need to pay more attention!"
It's a little early in the day/week for a Friday melt down, no? And you two should really let someone else take a turn. You just had a meltdown.
Sueleen, I also wanted DH to be better than it's turned out to be. I do watch it every week. But I consider it to be kind of a Melrose Place Lite.
"People need to pay more attention!"
That goes for watching T.V., reading a message board or driving. You never know when something unexpected might jump out at you!
I still stick with Ida being dead. DH is known for being letter of the law in it's hype. Ida "technically" is a friend to everyone. At every party scene, gathering, gossip on the street Ida is there and featured. I love the character actress who plays Ida, she is divine. I remember her from the film "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark." She was really funny and had some risque lines.
It is funny. I think the writers think that Felicity Huffman is the only actress who can play any sort of range. She gets all the crying, rages, screaming, pathos. I think that is why some people are getting burned out on her. She was only character who wasn't an archetype, and now she has become one inadvertantly.
I'm glad Delaney is getting some sympathy. The one-note villianess and abuse of her character was getting a bit much for me.
The gay couple has vanished, but I am sure they will crawl out from under a rock after the storm or on the season finale and make finger sandwiches for the neighborhood or have a threesome with Andrew. Then they'll move away because Bree videotaped it and threatened to post it on x-tube if they don't leave.
It's also the simple economics of television. If a character isn't needed, they don't waste tons of money having the actor come in for snippets. They had to explain where children were. They didn't have to explain any neighbors that weren't directly related to the storylines they were trying to address in that episode. I'm sure the gay guys will be back.
Now, if Ida dies, I wonder if it will be something that would have definitely killed Ms. McCluskey as well--and then Lynette would be seen as having saved her life in a sense?
I think she will have gone upstairs looking for the cat, so Lynette will be dealing with all this dramatic guilt. Who knows?
Can I get a little sympathy for the cat, please? Poor little plot device.
While I like the character, I think it would be much more interesting to the show overall to have Carlos be the 3rd person to be killed and the one referred to as a "friend". He truly was a friend to all of them, and it would give Eva Longoria a plot arch that wasnt just Gaby being bitchy and greedy or having sex. While she would grieve for Victor, she would really grieve for Carlos having finally gotten him back just to lose him again.
Personally, Im glad they got rid of the Sylvia character quickly, at least we didnt have to deal with her every week like we did with the annoying Nora character.
"People need to pay more attention!"
Like, when they are driving a car?
You pratically call other people stupid and then you wonder why no one likes you.
My questions about the episode is:
Why did Bree, who has keys to every house on the block, not have a key to her own bathroom?!?
I though the scene in which Gaby was packing was hysterical. Very well written, and delivered, one-liners! "Carlos, if you're taking me someplace where I don't need a boa, then I don't want to go!"
Also, while it could be Carlos, I do think that Ida is the "friend" and that the cat will turn up alive.
I also enjoyed seeing the gay couple's "art" bite it in the tornado!
There is a reason Huffman gets the good stuff, she is the best actress. Please, if Carlos is dead do we really want to see Longoria try to do that? I cringe when I remember her miscarriage story line...the "funeral"? Ouch. Keep her in the light, zingy, sexy one liner mode, an leave the real acting for others a bit more capable.
By the way, what DID happen to Carl?

Carlos got wacked in the head (by a brick, I believe) as he was entering Gabby's house.
I have to say that I loved the scene where a car landed upside down on the street, but if you look at the trees in the background, there was not much more than a gentle breeze blowing.

I thought that the episode was great....very tense and very well done. So, know that we know that Dana D's hubby did in fact have an affair with that lady.....but, this is DH, it could be something completely different by the time all is said and done........will the guys who live down the street still have a reason to "keep her little secret" anymore?
Many good comments here about how wonderful Felicity is, and I completely agree. All the women on the show are wonderful in their respective roles. Terri H is very, very funny......especially in last week's episode when she was trying to play match maker with Mike's drug dealing college friend.
