That's the thought...
It's going to be an interesting award season.
and no Law & Order or CSI shows for best drama, but I'm happy about Prison Break.
How sad....I haven't seen any of the movies nominated...time to go to the movies !!!

It's a developing story with more to come. E! will probably be the first source with all the noms, but they're clearly not available right now.
look on the last page. nyadgal posted a much more complete (and easier to read) listing of the noms.
Apparently, Addy took very good notes. :)
(not my notes - I have a link through my work...)
I'm still trying to get the list of Supporting Actor and Actress for you.
Not a damn thing for the final season of Six Feet Under?!?! Or is there something funky there with the dates, since it aired over the summer?? No, it couldn't because Rome's in there. I've never watched Commander in Chief, but I've heard it's pretty terrible. I'd think that SFU would have gotten in there before that!
I'm happy that they remembered Gwynnie!
easier to read version:

I'm intrigued by the level of cache that these awards seem to have developed. That's a lot of power wielded by a couple of handfulls of journalists.
My interest in them has always been that they serve alcohol at the ceremony - which at least creates an atmosphere more likely to produce something of interest being said.

Hear, hear!!! Good times to be had by all!!!
thank you. I couldn't find any list online.
What about Supporting Categories.
nevermind, it's not complete.

Ummm...who is up for Best actor in a comedy? Most of the reports have not mentioned Johnny Depp...most have included Jeff Daniels instead (there are 5 nods, not 6...so says the AP).
Best supporting actor:
Bob Hoskins (Mrs. Henderson Presents)
Will Ferrell (The Producers)
Paul Giamatti (Cinderella Man)
George Clooney (Syriana)
Matt Dillon (Crash)
Best supporting actress:
Shirley MacLaine (In Her Shoes)
Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener)
Scarlett Johannson (Match Point)
Frances McDormand (North Country)
Michelle Williams (Brokeback Mountain)
I'm trying to piece together the list... here's some info on Supporting nominees.
In addition to Clooney, supporting movie actor nominees were " Matt Dillon for "Crash," Will Ferrell for "The Producers," Paul Giamatti for "Cinderella Man," and Bob Hoskins for "Mrs. Henderson Presents."
Supporting actress nominees were Scarlett Johansson for "Match Point," Shirley MacLaine for "In Her Shoes," Frances McDormand for "North Country," Rachel Weisz for "The Constant Gardener," and Williams for "Brokeback Mountain."
That's interesting, touchme...
Until the HFPA puts up their official list, the info floating around the news services is bound to include errors....
Will Ferrell!!! Okay, obviously it's a hollywood thing that he got nominated, while Gary and Rogar didn't, but still he represents a Musical! YEAH!
I'm glad Paul Giamatti got nominated! Maybe this could be his consolation oscar-year.
Here's the list according to IMDb, which is very easy on the eye.

well, imdb has all six up, so who knows what's up. I guess we got six nods for actor in a comedy/musical.
i'm still shocked about Munich and King Kong. Crash not making a best pic nod makes me angry. I"m also very suprised to see Constant Gardener with so many nods. How Jake couldn't get a nod for Brokeback is beyond me -- he is the heart of that film.
Well considering I've hardly seen any of the nominated movies, I'll throw in that I'm really happy for Lost and Matthew Fox and Naveen Andrews, though I'm honestly a tad surprised that Terry O'Quinn didn't receive a nomination.
What are the Producers chances of taking home some of the awards?
