I stopped watching his movies somewhere around the second or third Lethal Weapon movie. I had heard that he had meade a nasty remark about gays and I was done with him.

So, they are trying to determine who leaked these tapes. If it was Mel's ex, she could be in big trouble.I think both are screwed up but lets face it. If she was the one to leak the tapes she intentionally killed what was left of his career. Obviously he was taped without his knowledge. What a mess!

That movie, The Beaver, actually won an award with the distinction of the best script not produced a while back. Concept may be good but the execution is a whole other matter and considering that Gibson's last film did not recoup, and this is before all of this came out, who knows how long before Gibson is pleading forgiveness to Danny Glover so he can do Lethal Weapon 5.

Not just, he has been developing this for years. Mel would have been wise to have been involved. A post Thunderdome film would have been great. Because Mel was not interested this is more of a reboot.

I really like George Miller so I do have faith this could work. However, Mel being involved would have really been awesome.

I remember years ago there was an effort to make a post-Thunderdome Mad Max film somewhere in the Middle East with Gibson starring (I think even directing/producing the film) but then it was called off because of the invasion of Iraq or something to that nature about safety issues derailing production from getting off the ground.

I saw Jay Thomas on Joy Behar calling them both low lifes. He was talking very poorly of her (pretty much calling her a fame whore) and she shouldn't have recorded him but I don't blame her.

years ago, I always liked Mel and actually thought he was a great husband while being a good father with morals and rules, being strict and loving and all of that stuff. hmmmm.... guess i was fooled.
