DAMN, i should be in putnam!
We don't know all the evidence. We don't know what really happened. So I have no opinion.
But I do know what Jackson did to his face should be enough to put him in jail. And the incident with him hanging the baby over the balcony.
But child molestation? We'll never know.
If I see one more thread on this...oy

Bravo Jackson! Stop racism in America once and for all.
As I suspected, he beat it ( no pun intended)
Another reason why I feel the american judicial system is a joke & has been for sometime

Why, because an overzealous prosecutor who has made it his life's work to CAPTURE Michael Jackson like Inspector Javert wanted Valjean didn't make a case that was strong enough to convince a jury BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT that he was guilty?
Sounds like the system worked just fine.
Now I would like to see a trial of Tom Sneddon. BOY SCOUT LEADER. TEN CHILDREN OF HIS OWN. I'm wondering if there isn't a bit of identification projection going on with his obsession with Michael Jackson? I mean, it could be RIGHT? We know how things often go with those Boy Scout leaders.
"Stop racism in America once and for all."
Huh? You think he was indicted because he was black? This never was a race thing. It was a celebrity thing. Or a gay thing. Or a pedophile thing. But I never heard it discussed as a race thing. If so, OJ beat him to it.

How could anyone classify Jackson's trial as racism? Maybe the KKK and the black panthers could both claim him and defend him.

I REALLY thought they would find him guilty for SOMETHING. That is my only thought about it.
I was SURE he'd get at least one misdemeanor conviction.
I think justice was done. Lets hope Oprah is not next.
Unbelieveable. But will it help Chicago's box office the way they claim the Simpson case did?

Why? Was there really any evidence beyond circumstantial evidence that could prove that Jackson was absolutely guilty? Were you sitting in the court room hearing the case? Is there even a way for any of us to know for sure he was guilty?
This isn't the OJ Simpson trial. It's not like there was cold, hard evidence against Jackson. Why are we just assuming he's guilty?
If he was innocent, why did he pay another family to keep their mouth's shut ?

Beav - they still would have released them, but then they would have shot them.
Does this mean the sleep over at Michaels is back on? How many parents will be lining up now at Neverland? What parent would let their child sleep in the same bed as a 46 year old man? What ever the verdict it is still not normal behaviour.
Shouldn't the title of this thread read:
Michael Jackson NOT guilty on any counts!!!?
Well Marquise, I'm pretty sure he wasn't guilty for counting, so maybe thats what was meant. Yes it should be "on"
LOL...yeah i was like I had to re-read that 3x's.
What say you on the verdict?
I know there were other threads about this before, I went back and read through them. I'm just surprised so many people that post here had already decided Michael Jackson was guilty before the verdict was announced, and cursed the US Judicial system when they acquitted him. Well, apparently the "innocent until proven guilty" part isn't working too well.
I'm not saying everything he's done in the past was on the up-and-up, but the jury said that they don't think the prosecution effectively proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt, and that's what was decided today.
I personally am glad this whole thing is over, and as one person on my local news responded when asked about the verdict: "Isn't there a war going on in Iraq?"
Yeah, Karl Rove is gonna miss this case. I'm no fan of Jackson's MO with kids -- let's say it's Pedofilia Lite, sort of necking above the waist for the NAMBLA crowd. But Namo's point about Sneden -- who has the same eyeballs as the Runaway Bride (hmmmmmm) -- is key here. Only a Javert-like mission would inspire someone to put that wacko mommo on the stand and build an entirely flimsy, SNL sketch-worthy case for conspiracy.
Still, what an unseemly moment that is hardly a great day for the culture. Has everyone watched this jury? To a person, they creep me out, with their tears of relief and sanctimonious stands about how they'd take kids to Neverland "...in the daytime..."

He was found not guilty because the prosecution did not prove the case. He will have a bit of a surprise when he discovers that the preception of 'not guilty' and 'innocent' are two very different things.
Michael Jackson right now needs cash money and had better haul his behind on stage and generate some unleveraged income. He is a broke rich man. He can still sell tickets in Japan for instance, so go already. The Vegas talk won't pay the electric bill this month. It would take a year or two to get that show up and running.
He had also better keep his nose clean for the rest of his life and not give anyone even the idea of impropriety. I hope he knows this.
He needs to move. He needs to sell that ranch and get out of the DA's jurisdiction.
Michael Jackson lives in a parallel universe from the rest of us. I hope he has real and true and trusted friends who will help him have a life from now on.
