Yeah--what was the deal with Nick? "Choosing" to self-destruct is just what it felt like. Was it some commentary on Daniel V. being such a lady?? It was not smart, and Nick always struck me as v. smart. I really saw him as a final contender. More, frankly, than Daniel V.
You think the Weinsteins paid him to take a dive???? (kidding.)

Chloe's big puffy pink/reddish jacket thing is HIDEOUS.
I agree Kate
I know that she probably was trying to dramatize her very clean designs but THAT was just awful
It was quite hideous! AH! it's on! cross your fingers for daniel! please please.... but why does santinos line look so good in those photos in comparison?? must go! its on!

Chloe? I am SO disappointed!

eh, whatever. Yay for Chloe!
Wow, I didn't see that coming. I actually liked Santino's line the best (and I'm no Santino fan). But, then again, obviously they were looking at how the clothes were made, etc. I thought Chloe's line was too shiny. But her line looked very well made.
now everyone here knows i'm a big santino fan
but AT LEAST they should have picked Daniel
i thought Chloe's line was absolutely disgusting... i could have designed a better line in my sleep... i am shocked and appalled right now
GAH. Daniel has so much more potential than all of them. *runs around room ranting*
I hated Choe's sleeve and shoulder treatments. And I didn't like the way she cut her clothes. Big disappointment!
i feel like the fashion world (and this show) is so much better than a mediocre dress-maker like Chloe
i wanted daniel to win.
and not just cuz he's cute, but as a female, i really, REALLY liked his clothes. *sigh*
but, i also like Chloe-she's never done anything to annoy me. so, congrats to her!
plus, daniel handled it so well. he gave her so many hugs and kisses-it was too cute.
i think as far as working for banana republic, which is one of the prizes, the choice makes sense, Santino would have imploded there.
I was a big fan of Chloe's the whole season and am so happy she won, but I thought Daniel would win, as he won just about half the challenges.
I liked most of Daniel's garments, but there was no real common thread between them all, and his inspiration for the line wasn't present at all. But most importantly, Daniel didn't need to win the competition. With a bit more experience, he will be incredible.
Til then, I'm so happy for Chloe, while two of her dresses made me question her motive, most of the garments were gorgeous. Like Michael Kors pointed out, the seams were so creative and really made the dresses unique.

I thought Daniel's collection was very plain and I hated the "military" stuff he added. He ruined a freakin' gorgeous dress with it. I think it just shows that Daniel has the goods to be better than Chloe and Santino, but he needs to grow a bit more and mature his tastes a bit. Daniel was great throughout the actual competition, but this line just showed that he doesn't really know what looks good and what doesn't yet.
I'm so glad Santino didn't win. I was totally expecting him to win prior to this episode, so I was very happy when he didn't. His dresses looked much better on the internet than it did on tv and in motion IMO. He thought he could play the undisciplined artist schtick to make the judges not want to eliminate him from the top 3 then surprise them with a new mature Santino. But his new ho-hum collection just showed how badly he is in terms of the basics of fashion. I mean it's one thing to tone it down and make it fit for women...it's another to try to be a totally different designer with the same problems he had all competition. He made some beautiful designs, and he made some really ugly ones. However, his unwillingness to make clothes for real women showed again and cost him. Learn what looks good on a woman.
Chloe's 80s fashion design isn't my style, but I think she was the only one to have a clear cohesive line. I think the judges were sending mix signals when they bitched about Santino and Daniel not having a cohesive line with a story while they told Chloe her line was way too similar. WTF? Chloe's dresses I felt (with the exception of the first one though I liked parts of it) were the best fit for the women and were EXTREMELY flattering. She really did have an image in her head with her line and I thought it was gorgeous. I mean I know the 80 sleeves are off-putting for people, but I think it was great in that they represented what Chloe had envisioned for her line and it wasn't just random pretty dresses put together to make a line. I thought her line was the best as a whole and I am glad they gave it to the most consistent person in the show.
Yay Chloe! Bah to all haterz! You aren't giving her enough credit for what she does. She actally makes clothes that look good for women. True the 80s handling was not my style either, but at least she made something that was truly worthy of a runway and not some beautiful and some ugly run-of-the-mill boring dresses that nothing to do with each other with horrible fit like Santino or had great but boring designs and had little things that totally distracted and ruined the whole collection like Daniel. I think a lot of women would love Chloe's line out of them all because although she had one bad thing (the first dress she showed was pretty ugly but I was surprised that it flowed well on the runway) and wasn't to everyone's liking I don't think her worst dresses were as bad as the worst dresses that Santino and Daniel had for their collection.
I'm surprised the judges didn't comment about the model tripping in Daniel's gown. I thought it was gorgeous in both design and color, but the bottom of it was way too cumbersome.
Santino had a dress with almost exactly the same hemline; isn't that more an issue with the model?
BTW--I laughed out loud when I learned that the (very beautiful) dress that Jennifer Garner tripped on at the Oscars was a Michael Carbs dress! I wonder if Nina G. called him and gave him a tongue lashing for that...
I'm so happy for Chloe and I'm excited that she won! yess I was a fan of hers since the first ep so yay for my girl Chloe =)

Micheal Carbs?
I really liked Santino's line, which surprised me. I haven't really liked much of what he did during the show, but his finale line was just... pretty. It certainly coud've used more work in the way it fit, but it was beautiful to watch in motion. I was somewhat bored by Daniel's line. He could've done more. But, he's only 24- he has quiate a future.
I think of all the designers, Chloe is the one who least needed the win. Her first dress was atrocious, but there were some really unique cuts and (as Micheal Kors said,) seams in her work.
I'm still holding out for Nick and Daniel to go into business together. They really balance each other well.

Iwas completely unimpressed with all three collections.
Chloe's was uninspired, Daniel's was very pedestrian and Santino's was unattractive on his models.
I was just glad santino was the firs to Go. That ****ing piece of **** didn't deserve to be in the final.
I wanted Chloe to win, and I'm glad she did, but...
...am I the only one who doesn't understand "true" fashion? To me, I wouldn't wear any of the stuff presented on the runway...Chloe did have a cute dress that I would maybe wear, but the clothing worn at these professional modeling shows is clothing I would never wear. I never see normal, everyday people wearing these fashions.

Really? I thought some of them were quite wearable. This one, for instance.
Also, runway shows are meant to be a bit stagey. They are shows, after all.
Nah, maybe it's just where I'm from. People just don't typically wear stuff like that around here (some small town in CT lol). The pants are okay, but overall, I think that outfit is ugly. That's just my opinion though.
Anyways, did anyone see when one of Daniel's models almost tripped on the long dress she was wearing?
Yeah, it was Kara Saun all over again. I was quite surprised the judges didn't mention it. Or maybe they did, and it was just edited out. . .
It was Kara Saun who had that problem last season, right?
On another note, Millie. . . I just realized that was a turtle in your av. I kept seeing it as a dog for some reason.
