I forgot all about this song. My friend burned me a CD with random songs (many of them being from the 90s, if not all of them) and this was the first one. I almost started crying, I was laughing so hard when this song came on.
What are your thoughts on this song?
This brings back memories of dancing around my cousin's room with hairbrush "microphones". Love it!

I have nothing but good thoughts attached to this song. My friends and I sang this at a talent show at church once. I was Sporty, and I ROCKED those trackpants!

lol, that reminds me of when I was younger and my friends and I used to run around his house while this song was blasting throughout the house and we'd sing it...I was in the 1st grade.

I was completely obsessed with this song and the Spice Girls in general for a large chunk of elementary school. Love it to death!
Iwas quite obsessed with them about 10 years ago. I can no longer fathom why.

Thankfully, I'm not anymore.

Please Parks, you think that's a sign of being gay?
I basically sang all of Baby Spice's parts in me and my girlfriend's carbon-copy of the Spice Girls. I was in the third grade. Yes, Baby Spice.
How my parents saw through that one is beyond me...
I loved The Spice Girls. My friends and I were each one of them. I was Posh.
Obviously.

Yep, I was definitely obsessed 9-10 years ago. To be honest, I can completely understand why I (and so many others) loved them. I haven't listened to their music in years (minus "Saturday Night Divas" -- I still like that song!), but it was definitely catchy and easy to remember and sing along to. In addition, the different Spice Girls themselves was pure brilliance as far as marketing goes. I swear that every girl in my grade found some way to relate to at least one of the singers.
A lot of former fads I have trouble understanding, but the Spice Girl's popularity, in retrospect, makes so much sense.
I love this song and the Spice girls. I still listen to them and I know all of their songs. They ust bring back so many memories of Elementry school, babydoll dresses, candy flavored lip gloss...
Hell, I am 29 and I really liked them, but I wouldn't admit it. Last year I had a queer carload. My friend Teresa and I were in the front seat and three of the nelliest queens ever in the backseat, driving around some random city. (Grand Rapids, I think.) I put that CD in and we CACKLED. We rolled down the windows and sang. The looks we got from everyone we passed were GREAT!
when i looked at the title of this it made me go and burn it. Ha I loved the Spice Girls, this was one of my favorite songs by them
I always enjoyed this song. It's so much fun!
JerseyGirl, doesn't this thread make you feel so old?? Everyone's all, "I used to dance around the sandbox over recess in grade 3 to the Spice Girls!" and I feel far over that hill!
