What movies have you walked out of? My friend and I walked out of Ice Princess(there weren't any other good movies and and my friend is a former ice skater). It was just a boring and bad movie.

Only one: Summer of Sam

It was awful.

I also rented "Clerks" and turned it off before it ended.

Those are the only two movies I just couldn't finish. I did end up watching the rest of them later, and I will never get that time back.

I know I've walked out of two.

One was "Less Than Zero." Left about 2/3 through.

The other...I don't even remember what it was, only that my friends and I were so bored that we left after 15 minutes.

I never walked out of a movie, but I **Almost** did, would have if I was not with people, when I saw "Miami Vice." THE SINGLE worst movie I have ever seen.

I try to make it a point to never walk out of a movie or theatre production, but I absolutely could not sit through "Gods And Generals". That's it.

My friends and I almost walked of The One with Jet Li, but we were having so much fun mocking it that we stayed.
I really wanted to walk out of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but I was with a bunch of guys who were clearly enjoying it, so I kept my mouth shut.

I almost walked out of "Over the Hedge." Couldn't stand it. I fell asleep during "Ice Age." Which isn't walking out but either way I paid for the movie and didn't see it.

I really liked 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'. I was hoping for a sequel after I first saw it =)

Also, when we saw the first Scooby-Doo, we tried to leave and get our money back, only to be informed that we had already sat through half the movie and refunds were no longer eligible. That pissed me off.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
The Paper

hmmm, both Ron Howard films...

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I walked out of THE THIN RED LINE. Besides being ultra-boring, I hated the voice-overs and conspicuous cameos -- so annoying!

I've tried watching THE ENGLISH PATIENT several times, but I always end up turning it off.

More recently, I took my niece to see FLUSHED AWAY and fell asleep halfway through. I also fell asleep toward the end of THE QUEEN. Helen Mirren's performance was nothing to shout about and the film was pointless (IMO).

The only movie I ever walked out of was "Neighbors" way back in 1981. It starred John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and Cathy Moriarty.

I lasted about 25 minutes before hitting the road.

I don't believe I've ever walked out on a movie before or since... but I'm also very picky about what I see. I don't go to every movie. If I know it's "not for me," you won't even get me in the door.

I've been disappointed, sure, but there was always enough of a reason for me to be there in the first place, so it kept me in my seat. (sometimes squirming and checking my watch every 30 seconds)

But I sure had a lapse of judgment back in 1981. That movie was a First Class Stinkeroo.

*waits for someone here to say that's their favorite movie of all time*

I didn't walk out, but I fell asleep during LOTR: The Two Towers. How could you not? It was pretty much the most boring movie I had ever seen.

PurplePrince, you left Stranger Than Fiction? I'm going to see it a second time next week.

My parents & I left The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou twenty minutes into the film.
I fell asleep during Ice Age 2, Home on the Range (it was free) and Over The Hedge, and I refuse to see any of these new let's-crank-out-another-animated-flick-about-animals-to-make-money things that call themselves movies. (My mom BOUGHT Doogal, because she loved him when she was a child, and she was disappointed to say the least. I couldn't watch more than the first five minutes.)
I restlessly waited through the second Lord of the Rings to see what all the fuss was about, then stupidly went to the third one expecting to see something better - I ended up sleeping through the last half of it.
I would've walked out of The Covenant had my friends and I not been having such a good time making fun of it.
Doctor: She's been bitten by hundreds of insects, like spiders.
My friend: Spiders aren't insects, they're ARACHNIDS!
(Yep, that's the kind of losers we are.)

And, of course, there are numerous movies I've rented and had to turn off because I just couldn't finish them. (Examples: The Blair Witch Project and Fear Dot Com)

I would gladly die
For a day of sky

THE QUEEN is a masterpiece. End of story.

In the theatre, I walked out of HOW TO MAKE AN AMERICAN QUILT (I know, the title didn't tip me off?) I couldn't watch Winona Ryder tighten her nostrils one more time.

The worst movie I ever saw half of was THE DARK BACKWARD, a dreadful horror/comedy starring a bottom-of-the-barrel Judd Nelson as a geek who discovers he has a hand growing out of his back. The scene that put it over the top for me featured Bill Paxton making out with two large women who bared their breasts and slathered melted chocolate over themselves for Paxton to lick off. If I hadn't reached the VCR "Stop" button in time, I swear I would have vomited up all my internal organs.

i walked out of GLADIATOR...i didnt want to see it in the first place. i am picky about what i see, coz anything i see gets in my brain & becomes a part of my life...so i have to be careful about what i let in! (thats why i hardly ever watch tv or listen to the radio)
my emplpyer @ the time rented out the whole ziegfield theater & we all went to GLADIATOR. i snuck out before the drits coz i resented having to watch a movie i had no interest in (especially a violent one), plus i could think of a hundred dozen better ways to be using my time.

Best12, I'm of the same mind as you here. I know what I'm going to see (or at least if it's the type of movie I'll be interested in) so I won't waste my money on something that's not for me. (Just for the record, before anyone cries 'hypocrite', those "Gods And Monsters" tickets were comps. re: What movies have you walked out of?)

I figure a lot of people here who walk out of some of these movies must be quite young, where movie-going is more of a social thing, and it's either this or bowlng. Not to single out anyone here (honest) but did anyone expect to like "The Dukes Of Hazzard" or "Miami Vice"??

I've never walked out of a movie. If I paid money for it, I am gonna see it.

I did try to watch Junebug on cable and turned it off after about three minutes.
