I do. I loved it, I have always adored Cloris.
I remember it also. Great show! I also remember Cloris on an episode of "Rhoda," another one of my favorite shows.
I loved the title song. It was a take-off on Mame.
Phyliis...it sure isn't you.
Edit: I just clicked the link. I didn't know it was the title song. Thanks so much for posting. I love it!!

Yep- big fan of all the MTM spinoffs- Phyllis, Rhoda, and Lou Grant! Whatever happened to the actress who played Phyllis' daughter?
Mom, here's something on her from imdb.
What about that old broad who played Mother Dexter! Loved her!
Bess
Thanks nmartin- looks like she isn't acting anymore so I wonder where she is and what's she's doing now.

Mother Dexter was the best. Does anyone remember the episode with the "Little People?"
Cloris Leachman played Phyllis Rogers Stone?
I loved that show. The daughter was actually my favorite character.
Bess?
Great show. The writing wasnt as sharp as MTM or Rhoda, tho.
My favorite ep. was when she thought a very nice man wanted to use her apartment to meet his "club". She assumed that meant he was gay, when actually he was a nazi.
What are you talking? I loved the writing of that show!
Did I say it sucked? No, obviously I'm a fan if I remember half of the episodes....just not as good as MTM or Rhoda.
That was a funny show! Cloris is a hoot!
I vaguely remember this show.......Cloris Leachman is hilarious.
I do...gosh, I'm getting old.
And Henry Jones as her father-in-law?
I loved that opening song. I wonder who wrote it?
I loved the show and character on the spinoff or original.
But does anyone else remember how extraordinary Cloris truly was in her Oscar-winning role in LAST PICTURE SHOW? I watched it again last fall, and she took my breath away, all over again. The last scene -- perfection.
I remember when they were casting IRONWEED -- a favorite book, a masterpiece -- and I thought Helen should've gone to Cloris. It begged for her. Meryl is Meryl, and she was of course, stunning in her own way. But too young, and she had to do crazy voices and the whole Streep bag of tricks. Cloris would've just been that woman. (And if you want to see a glimpse of what she might've done with it ... check out the Christmas movie, PRANCER, when she plays the sort of Agnes Moorehead POLLYANNA role, again, to perfection).
Ms. Leachman could and can do it all. Be wildly cartoon-like and painfully real. Please, someone give her one more shot at something meaty...

Yes! But how can I forgive her for ruining The Facts of Life?

If for little else, I remember it for her uttering "Go suck an egg."
Also, wasn't one of her co-stars murdered during the first season? I believe her name was Barbara Colby, who also played one of Mary's cellmates On The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
I remember it, and wish they'd haul it out for DVD release. My memory would like a refresher.
Rhoda is out on DVD in April. Whooo whoo!
