I hate the Braves... I don't know why.
And my name is Istanu. Backwards. Or something. Kinda like Istanbul. Minus the b and the l.
Will he still be posting on the student board or joining in the chat room?
sueleen how dare you besmirch the awe and mystery and life changing wondrosity that is bm by making such a mockery of the most heart wrenching scene in the greatest story every told like this? you, ma'am, will surely pay for this. i hope the next man you date turns out to be gay! then you'll see how it feels! you horrible, horrible make funner.

This thread isn't about you, Obvious. It's about an Exiled Beloved Poster.
So the MAKING LOVE viewing party is off?
F*CK!

OMG, how much more will we be made to SUFFER???
I've been here for like four years and I've never once heard of eslgr8 OR his website.
it's clear that, while he was unable to withstand the cruel barbs tossed his way by uncaring practitioners of a wicked art, that in the end eslgr8 learned a lesson which he now turns upon his torturers. where, oh, where will the lost legion of making love fans go? will they be left wandering the streets chanting harry hamlin's name? clearly eslgr8 cares not a whit for the pain he's causing these loyal fans who just want to see kate again. a pity that this evil message board has corrupted another pure soul. damn you bww!
Do you think he's read this yet, or is he waiting till later when there are more pages?

He's probably reading it now, just not signed in. Lousy chap.

"Harry Hamlin, Harry Hamlin, what a beautiful name."
I think of all the things I'm going to miss about Steven, the thing I'm going to miss most is his sense of aesthetics. He had a way of showing you the beauty and the art in what seemed to be unlikely places, be it Los Angeles or the groundbreaking Making Love, the only movie about a gay, another gay and his wife until the incredibly important Brokeback Mountain came along.
And his appreciation of the firm young musculature of firm young actor types. Personally, I'm more of a gerontophile, but Steven certainly described an aesthetic subcommunity that I never even noticed, a cohort of vitality and dewy innocence and unspoiled charm. It's not my thing, but Steven showed us how it's certainly somebody's. And like the ACLU, which sometimes argues unpopular cases, I believe Steven's tireless efforts to show us the unspeakable devastation to the career of a beloved Scientologist really made us stretch beyond the boundaries of our comfort zones, like it or not.
His tireless efforts to Combat the Closet brought about some thought provoking discussion, and really made all of us consider the sheer unadulterated evil that is Sean "Jack" Hayes. I mean, I for one, never realized how much Mr. Hayes's choices were making my life just a little bit more miserabler.
God, I'm going to miss Stanley. I think the words of the cinematic genius Mr. Ang Lee during his speech at the GLAAAADD Awards say it better than I ever could, "There is the one that got away!"
Right now, I feel like he meant Stanley Stevens.
STEVEN STANLEY 9/20/04 - 4/20/06
Where is Kringas?
Kringas? KRINGAS?
Oh no. Have we been mean to Kringas too?
Broadway Legend Joined: 7/22/03
This thread is about SS. Unless you mean Kringas as example of dewy unspoiled innocence?
Kringas is an example of unspoiled dewy innocence?
It's so cruel of you guys to say things like this when I'm sitting here at work.
So very, very cruel.
Although I do have to ask what happened to the picture of Stephen and James Barbour? That one was hot.
Um...Namo. I'm really, truly surprised at you.
Your critical faculties are sorely lacking in this thread.
How could you not see that the true groundbreaking aspect of BM is that it's about a gay, another gay, his wife and ANOTHER wife.
This is what it has over ML. It's why it's important. Please respect that.
Kringas may be dewy but he's hardly unspoiled.

You're right, Robbie, you're absolutely right. Thank you so much for calling me on my "sugar honey ice tea." I always forget about the OTHER wife and I admit it is because of my deep award show bias. Because she was not nominated like that girl from Dawson's Creek, the one whom the virile, muscular, youthful Heath Ledger impregnated just in time for the Oscars, she swims, fishlike, out of my consciousness.
Thank you for your provocative post. I thought that sort of challenging post was gone with our beloved Stanley, but maybe several of us can work together to carry on the kind of intellectually and emotionally stimulating posts that he seemed to toss off without even thinking about it.
"Although I do have to ask what happened to the picture of Stephen and James Barbour? That one was hot. "
James imagined Stephen was a 15 year-old girl when he got that picture taken.

One only need check the posters of this thread to find the meanest spirits on the board. No wonder eslgr8 left (in however grandiose a fashion).
Big fish, meet small pond.

That's tasteless! How DARE you hide behind your real name when making such a statement?
