Good god... looks like Les Miserables is going out on tour AGAIN. Hopefully they will keep it as a season add on and not include it in subscription packages.
This is indeed an exciting time. I will say I am jealous of all of you. For us in the Toronto market, only one show was able to play of the current season in Nov/Dec. Everything else has been shifted, until April and through until the early fall. Not sure now when our new season will be announced I would think late spring.
One thing I will say is I love when a theatre announces a show that no one had no idea about, and then it sends everyone into a tail spin wishing and hoping it comes to them

9 TO 5
RENT
AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'
CHILDREN OF EDEN
and the pre-Broadway BROADWAY VACATION.
I presume that VACATION will be a mini-tour or premiere. TUTS often produces their shows locally so hard to know for sure, but wasn't 9 TO 5 rumored to be touring again? That could also be a tour. I would guess that POPPINS is a local production, as are most, if not all, of the others.
Curious as to when BAA will announce in Houston. Right now their website simply says, "Spring.""
Thanks.
I have heard it was being done again by the legendary Theatre Under the Stars, which I gather is very much a one of a kind theatre. Have they ever done a show that has toured?"
Yes, TUTS would usually include at least 1 touring show per season. I believe the last ones were Once on this Island and Come From Away. They have also included Hamilton in the past.

Broadway in Detroit has said they are announcing "soon", but we know we're getting;
as part of the subscription season. They teased that it will be a 7 show sub next season, so I hope the remaining 4 shows are good because non of those listed above excite me at all.

Luckily I saw that on the back of the Lion King playbill because I was about to buy tickets to DEH and Mean Girls in East Lansing. I was wondering why these 2 big shows skipped over Detroit. That gives me the feeling that Frozen is going to be one of those 4 reveals.

I wouldn't be surprised. Frozen was supposed to be part of the 2020-2021 season. I'm just glad we're getting The Bands Visit.

Les Miz confirmed as part of Cleveland's 22/23 Broadway Series. This will be the third time Les Miz will be on the Cleveland subscription package in the last 11 years. Pretty unacceptable imo. You want to present it - fine. Don't put it on the subscription package.
All I can say is the Waitress mini tour coming to Cleveland had better not be on the subscription package. I'm not renewing to have a decent portion of the season be shows I thought were "meh" the first time around.

From memory I don’t think that Hamilton has ever played Detroit ?

Hamilton was part of the 2018/19 season.

That’s what I was referring to when I said I wasn’t excited about Les Mis touring again. For long time subscribers it’s frustrating when they add several shows that have already come through like Les Mis, Phantom, Chicago, Cats, etc. I understand there will always be newer subscribers who may have never seen them but shows that have been to a city several times should be “add-ons” and not a part of the main package.

Minneapolis is the first confirmation that Beetlejuice is touring, correct? The September dates also overlap the return engagement at the Marquis (there was some speculation on one of the Beetlejuice threads about the new engagement using a set that would later go on tour).

Broadway in Detroit announced their subscription season today:
Hamilton was announced as an add on show returning November/December 2022. I have to say I'm a lot happier with this season than the current one. It's also nice to get some shows their first touring season as we've been getting 2nd season tours recently (also after they switch to non-equity). I'm not super thrilled the subscription season ends in February. I wish it was spread out more.

We're also getting Hamilton this summer (hence the early announcement), Six, 1776, Aladdin, To Kill A Mocking Bird, Pretty Woman.
I'm missing the other returning show since they've said 7 new and 2 returning. I'm guessing Les Mis since it was supposed to come in the canceled season.

New Book of Mormon tour to launch this Fall. No word on any cities, dates or if it's equity or not.
ACL2006 said: "New Book of Mormon tour to launch this Fall. No word on any cities, dates or if it's equity or not."
Something about the fact the website for the tour is entirely separate and not just tab on the Broadway site makes me think it’s going non-equity. Usually shows that go non-eq will have a separate touring website, so the productions won’t share the same promotional material.
RE: BOM tour- Interesting, although if it is non-equity, I'm surprised they have a link to buy tickets for the Broadway production
Playbill's article states it'll be non-equity and NetWorks is producing it.
