Nashville and Houston announced!
Any insight as to whether the Beetlejuice tour will continue or if they’ll close up this summer? Then launch a non-equity tour before making it available for licensing?

Beetle's last known tour stop is this summer of 2025. Considering we haven't seen it for any of the 2025-2026 theaters that have announced, seems like a solid guess its equity portion is done. I looked around and can't find any news or rumors that the non-equity is coming anytime soon.
I feel like Beetlejuice hit all the markets a non-equity tour would have done?

Isn’t the current Beetlejuice tour non-equity?

We see most productions in NY so it is rare we go to see something that is on tour. I just looked at the Nashville schedule and tickets and was shocked that to get the best seat tickets you have to make a 2000.00 to 5000.00 donation, in addition to the cost of the tickets. Is this standard? It’s like extortion. For 2000.00 to 5000.00 and the price of the ticket, I can fly to NY see the shows and stay at a pretty decent hotel.

not saying it’s right or wrong but it’s not uncommon. They could just raise the ticket prices but instead let you make a donation thsts offsetting some discount ticket program or education program. It’s not just theatre. Opera or even college foootball requires a donation on top of the ticket price. Here in LA we have two theatres presenting Broadway shows. Non profit CTG Ahmanson and Nederlanders for profit Pantages. The best season seats at the later are flagged as “president club” with an additional surcharge. If you want the best seats you are going to pay more. Broadway NYC does the same with dynamic pricing and platinum seats
