It’s an add-on package, but a touring production of The Phantom of the Opera plays from May 28 to June 21.
I am pleased that Stereophonic will be at the Curran.
Kinky Boots is going back out on tour. Non-equity with a mix of week long sit downs and various split weeks. Wonder if it'll be a replica of the last non-equity tour in 2019?
Broadway in Hollywood announces on March 7th but today they announced Phantom will be an add-on production and will play the Pantages on June 24th - August 9th, 2026.

DPAC (Durham, NC) just announced its season! While Durham is no L.A., San Fran, or other big city that tends to receive all of the attention, our theatre consistently ranks at or near the top of venues in the country and attracts major national tours. Here’s our season, which includes eight all new productions…
Beauty & The Beast - Sep. 2-14
The Outsiders - Dec. 2-7
Water for Elephants - Dec. 16-21
Harry Potter - Dec. 28-Jan. 17, 2026
Hell’s Kitchen - Feb. 17-22, 2026
Stereophonic - March 17-22, 2026
The Great Gatsby - May 5-10, 2026
The Notebook - July 14-19, 2026
DPAC is also a Nederlander presentation, so it’s season will often mirror those of Broadway in Hollywood(The Pantages) and Broadway in Chicago.

I know full well about that. Just seems like DPAC’s announcements do not receive has much hype as larger market cities. In any case, I’m excited for our new season!

As a fellow North Carolinian, I gotta give props to DPAC -- in 2024 we were ranked as #2 by VenuesNow (attendance), #3 by Billboard (ticket revenue), and #4 by Pollstar (both attendance and revenue) in the country. Yes, that includes all events but the tours play a large role in that.
And being a Nederlander venue does play a part -- but the newly opened Tanger Center in Greensboro, NC (a mere hour away) is also a Nederlander venue, but doesn't get the same shows.

Yes indeed! Have to give big props to DPAC as well. It has continually brought in stellar shows since it first opened!

I’m a bit confused here.
The DPAC season is brilliant, the best so far of any city, all what is missing is Suffs and I’m sure that will play next year. However all the shows that have announced haven’t played in a Nederlander house on Broadway.

Broadway In Hollywood announced this morning.
Les Miserables (Add On) Oct 7-19
Suffs Nov 18-Dec 7
Stereophonic Dec 9-Jan 2
The Notebook Jan 6-25
Spamalot March 24-April 12
Sound of Music May 5-24
Hellls Kitchen May 26-June 21
Phantom of the Opera (Add on) June 24- Aug 9
Beauty and the Beast Aug 11-Sept 6
I was hoping something more exciting than Spamalot might overlap with the dates for LA Opera's production of Akhnaten next Feb-March.

Disappointing that Suffs, Notebook, and Stereophonic won't be playing the Ahmanson where they'd fit much better. Kimberly Akimbo was nearly lost in the Pantages cavern. Would also love for Phantom to come "home" to the Ahmanson but that doesn't seem to ever be in the cards again.
My only guess with all of the shows at the Pantages is *maybe* Sunset Blvd will have an extended run at the Ahmanson?

Do they usually announce Pantages and Dolby separately? I thought it was at the same time and found it weird nothing was announced for Dolby (unless they decided to move away from hosting shows there). But it WOULD be a nice place to host Sunset if the LA rumors end up happening, considering its ties to the film industry.
They tend to use the Dolby when there is a long sit down run playing the Pantages, like Harry Potter is currently.
The Pantages, arguably, has more of a historic connection to the film industry. It also hosted the Academy Awards from 1949 to 1959.
That being said, the Dolby undeniably has the best location for the Act II opener walk. At the Ahmanson Joe would just be wandering around a concrete terrace with no people, and at the Pantages he would be by parking lots and a Dunkin…
I’d love to see him try to bob and weave around Iron Man, Mickey Mouse and aspiring musicians instead!

So with the Pantages season announced, can we then second guess what the Ahmanson season will be then?
I’m thinking;
The Great Gatsby
Water for Elephants
The Outsiders
The Who’s Tommy
Illinoise
Maybe Rocky Horror Show (pre Broadway)
Cabaret (tour launch)
Oh Mary
The Ahmanson normally pulls something leftfield out of the bag, like Oh Mary!

The Who’s Tommy appears to be delayed a year, now the website says fall of 2026.

I'm quite excited for spamalot actually, I like monty python and overall dumb musicals where I can turn my brain off for two hours and just enjoy myself. Alas, I'll be seeing it in Atlanta nest year for my 18th birthday.

Indy announcing on Wednesday. Posting clues leading up to it. 7 shows in total.
So far &Juliet (more hits than Shakespeare) and MJ (Zombie, Mirror, and Microphone emojis)
I am hedging my bets on Tommy being cancelled entirely.
