That's ridiculous
MAGA people would say the red color is a sing of communism (JK so relax)

Like Seven Brides for Seven Brothers perhaps?

Didn’t Patti say once if you don’t win a Tony for Gypsy you shouldn’t be on Broadway? Can someone relight the quote for me

Mixed bag of a show, but I think Cynthia did a good job keeping things moving for the most part and she kept it classy. I wouldn’t be mad to see her again next year. As long as we never get NPH again.
Also, for folks claiming we’ll all collectively forget Nicole’s performance while Audra’s lives on in the history books of Great Theatre Performances: I hope you have insurance on that castle of delusion you’re living in.
And to all, a good night.

What was up with Simard's "That was rude" sign? Was that for Patti?

I started crying when Nicole mentioned her Ukrainian heritage. Proud of her and out common ancestry today!"
I didnt know she was of Ukrainian heritage--makes her cavorting with the fascists even more outrageous, huh?
And, no, I wont get over it. I'm not protesting outside the St James, I'm not particularly focused on it, but when discussing this woman, I think its perfectly valid to remind ourselves of who she has freely affiliated with in the past.
Maybe shes changed her ways, maybe shes just kept her views quiet given the community she now wants to be a part of, maybe shes too ignorant to realize who RFK, Russel Brand, and their ilk truly are--fascist apologists at best, but really just horrible horrible people-- or maybe the whole thing was an AI generated hoax. I dont know but I'm not going to stay quiet about the way the worst people in the world are becoming socially acceptable."
"This woman"? That's so misogynistic.

I think it was that it would be disappointing to not win a Tony for the role or something similar.

Every time I see the trailer for Kiss of the Spider Woman, I think, can they go back and reshoot the whole thing with Nicole?

I think she was just referencing her now viral line from the show.

Jordan Catalano said: "This performance from Audra is absolutely nothing like how she does it in the show. I’m not saying it’s bad - I mean it’s manic AF but soooooo different."
I saw it last week and it is exactly how she did it.

Yeah. Her line in the show is viral on TikTok and voiced over countless memes, similar to the Chris Colfer version of Roses Turn on Glee.

Personally, I thought Audra’s rendition of Rose’s Turn was an abomination.

Honestly, I'm a bit torn about Darren Criss taking home the Tony for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. He 100% deserved it, but I can't help but wish Jonathan Groff had won back to back Tonys.

You’ve been lowkey trying to push anyone other than Nicole for the last few months. Boop or Audra were never going to win. and they didn’t. Get over it."
This literally has nothing to do with anything. I haven't been trying to "push" anything. I've said "there's a chance Nicole still wins" all along. Meanwhile I saw Jordan's post about her being out of the show from yesterday and thought it was earlier today. Legitimately was confused since she said "we killed the matinee today" in her speech, so I was legitimately just clarifying. The only one "pushing" any narrative here is you. Have a blessed day.

Well, that was a lovely night. It flowed pretty well even though Cynthia hosted. Was she great? No. Was the opening number great? Hell no. Did she push the show along, yes.
The whole show lacked PAZAZZ and SPECTACLE!! We needed more more more!!! Make the entire show full of spectacle!!!!!

I thought Erivo was perfect from start to finish, and she needs to be booked for next year immediately.

Pretty much everything I cared about winning did... a happy but rare event! The sound designers for the telecast need to be put on the wall, though. Did they get the gig this morning?

I’m laughing out loud at the mess of this thread. Never change, BWW Board!
And LET’S GO TONY AWARD WINNER NICOLE SCHERZINGER!!!!
