Well folks, we’ve had this date circled in blood red since the beginning of May… Broadway is officially reopening at 100% capacity TOMORROW.
With it comes the reopening of four long-running, Tony-winning Broadway musical blockbusters: Chicago, Hamilton, The Lion King, and Wicked. In other words, be prepared for a swankified revolution in the circle of life… and all that jazz.
In keeping with BWW tradition, a separate preview thread has been created for Lackawanna Blues, the Ruben Santiago-Hudson play also beginning tomorrow night.
This is a very highly anticipated day for theatre aficionados… I’d like to read some reports on all four as Tuesday night unfolds! I’m sure it will be electric at the Ambassador, Rodgers, Minskoff, and Gershwin.
For the lucky ones that are going to Tuesday’s performances, please post thoughts and reactions below!
Are any of the four returning shows doing rush, lotto or SRO?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

In regards to Wicked, I believe their system has always been and will continue to be online and in person lottery. No rush or anything. Except I think they had a standby line too but I could be wrong

I can't wait to read the reports on here. I saw Hadestown last week and the energy was just electric in there.
For anyone interested, the Disney On Broadway TikTok account will be live-streaming the opening number at 7pm ET. I'm not sure if the app is required or if you can watch on a website as well.

Did Lion King start (tik tok hasn't had anything)?

Intermission at Wicked. My god my heart is racing. I’ve never been in a house like this. Lindsey Pierce is a fantastic Elphaba. Will post more thoughts later.
Just saw Wicked's via their Facebook page. Chills!
I wonder if Chicago will post something with All That Jazz? Will this be the norm with all shows reopening?
