I think it would certainly be easier, from a financial standpoint, to wait and see what happens on Friday. If they cancel, obviously you would be refunded, and then you could reschedule.

Thanks for the advice. Seems omicron is coming back to haunt us. I have tickets for A Strange Loop, Company, and Josh Groban at Radio City. I can reschedule those two broadway shows easily if they get canceled, but if Groban's concert gets canceled, that will hit me hard emotionally!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

Well unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it, so there's really no sense worrying. What will happen will happen. I hope it all works out for you!
I am aware. I've been inconvenienced before during the first omicron surge. Just keeping my fingers crossed that Josh Groban's show goes on. Been waiting for that show for quite some time. I'll come up with some backup plans if my two broadway shows get cancelled.

I have been hearing in the news lately about this more contagious yet less severe sub-variant of Omicron. Symptoms are VERY mild, but again, transmission is very high with this one. Don't know if it will trigger another surge as bad as delta or omicron, but you never know. We can't really predict what's going on because this virus seems to still be one or more steps ahead of us.

It is the BA.2 variant. An offshoot of Omicron. Has been in the news for a while. It is spreading very fast in the UK.
I suspect that until we get up to the percentage of vaccinations they wanted across the country (I think it is 70 or 75 percent), we are going to still experience quarantining. I think the U.S. is somewhere around 66%.
I’m bummed. Had a ticket to this for tomorrow night, and I leave town Friday, so I’ll miss it entirely. Hoping it’s still running when I come back in September!
Performances of Michael R. Jackson's Pulitzer-Prize winning A Strange Loop will now begin on Monday, April 11 at 8PM due to the detection of a limited number of positive Covid test results within the company.
Sorry if this is common knowledge but does anyone know why the original lead actor from the earlier/original production and who is on the cast recording did not continue with this?
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
I noticed Larry Owens was recently on Abbott Elementary. Wondering if they’d pick Larry up as a regular or if Larry is getting other TV work that would have conflicted. I’m sure they’ll find a way to bring Larry into the show during its run.

Previews begin tomorrow! ??"
Larry won't be returning to the show, most certainly would have originated the a potentially Tony-winning role if there was interest in continuing with it... They walked away from it to "further their career in television" per what's been said before in official show releases if I'm not mistaken. Dubious of if that's actually the reason, but that's all we know.

Yeah, I really don't think it's just that he's busy. You don't pass up a role like Usher for small TV roles. I think on either side of it (production or Larry) there was a decision that he should no longer be involved.
