I arrived for Sunday's matinee (with a 3:00 curtain and a box office open time of noon) at 9AM and I was literally 20 seconds behind a group of 4 who were the first ones in line. Hope this helps!!!"
Thanks. It would also be good to know how the crowd grew over the 3 hours you were there, how many there were waiting at box office opening, your sense of how many people actually got tickets if you have a guess at that and where your seats were."
I didn't really pay attention to the line behind me. The first two people in line got Orch AA 111 & 110. The next two people got Orch A 1, 3, & 5 and I got Orch A 2 & 4. Beyond that I don't know because by then my back was killing me and we were starving so left to immediately go get lunch. Sorry I don't have more info for you. With their 11 Tony noms, it is only going to get more popular and busier so I would suggest getting there pretty early. Just my opinion, of course.
There was no need for me to be second in line at 8:15 this morning. There were about 11 people in line when the box office opened at 10 am. I got an Orchestra A 2 obstructed view. I saw a preview back in April, so I’m happy to see it again up close. I love this show.
Jaquel was not in the show Friday night. I was really disappointed. But I have to say, Kyle Ramar Freeman took my disappointment away. He was phenomenal.
I think Jaquel said he was not doing matinees but I suspect he may have switched out as he did the matinee yesterday. Michelle Obama was seeing the show along with Samuel L Jackson and RuPaul. I am sure they wanted him on for the former First Lady.
Rushed today (wednesday, 6/15) and I got row B seat 23 in the mezzanine.... Terrible, all the action is stage left and that's where is blocked... I arrived to the box office around 10:20. To be fair, I generally heavily prefer orchestra seats over mezz, and will likely see this show a second time solely to request orchestra
For what it’s worth, I just walked over to the B.O at 12:00 and they just released a new block of rush seats for tonight’s show (7/2 8pm). I got Orch Center AA 107

With the digital rush, I don’t know if many are doing the in person rush - and I can imagine that they pull from the same inventory (although you’ll save a few dollars going in person). The seats are never that bad - usually extreme left or right Orchestra but more toward the rear so you only loss the extreme back corners of the stage. Same for first three rows of the mezzanine Sometimes you luck out and there are unclaimed front row center lotto seats.
I’ve also seen online rush tickets be available as late as two hours before showtime.
My only advice is to AVOID THE BOXES AT ALL COSTS since you will miss a lot

Hey all! Has anyone done digital rush lately? Can you report on seat locations? Thinking of just going in person...if I go around 11am does anyone think that'll be too late for rush? I keep losing the lotto . Thanks!

Depending on the day, sometimes you will get seats much better than others. I've gotten front row orchestra, extreme side mid-orchestra, rear orchestra and front row mezzanine. RARELY does the supply of rush tickets run out and I've seen them as late at 90 minutes before the show. The digital rush is far superior in my opinion because, although you pay $9 more overall, you'll get to see the relative location (Usually it says the section or "X" rows from stage) and the tickets are digital. Plus, the box office pulls from the same pool of rush tickets and they won't tell you even the relative location until you pay.
If you are offered box seats, chances are they are at the end of their rush supply and SAY NO. (You miss so much from the boxes - I don't know why they are even sold)
