Via Adam Pascal's MySpace blog, he has kindly informed readers that both he and Anthony Rapp will be returning to RENT (assuming as Roger and Mark respectively) for SIX WEEKS beginning on July 30.

I love how he mentions it like it's no big deal! lol.
That's amazing. Wish I were there to see it. Watch it be impossible to get tickets.
They are unbelievable together. I have my concerns about how two originals will fit in with the current cast even though I'm sure they're all very talented, but I'm really excited to get to see them again.
Yyyyyup. One of the few things that could ever get me back to that show. I will be lotto-ing this until I get in.
Guess the show is doing pretty poorly or the poor guys are having some trouble getting jobs.
This is just blowing my mind, haha. The fact that I might get the opportunity to see them as these roles LIVE is just... unbelievable to me, Emcee.
I hope tickets don't become really difficult to get like, overnight. I mean, never underestimate Rentheads. I want my family to see them, so we'll have to buy tickets in advance, which I can't do until the morning. I'm curious to see what the dynamic is on the whole, because it could turn out to be really bizarre, but they're just mind-blowing together. I haven't been back since the benefit... it just never felt right after that. I've been waiting for a good reason to go. I guess I have it now.
Are they slowing bringing in the whole original cast?? LOL!

I think both reasons could apply.
BroadwayGirl, it's the former. They've both been working, just not on Broadway.
I've known this has been happening for weeks, but it's still surreal.

Looking at the weekly grosses, I've noticed it's been doing pretty badly.
And I'm going with Cis for Company!! haha I looked at your post and I was like, "Hey, I'm going then too." Then I saw it was you.

That is great. I though Adam moved to LA though?
He did, but this is a short engagement.

Adam did move out to LA, but I guess he's coming back out here for a couple of weeks. It's not like he was doing anything in LA. All his movies were shot on the East Coast, or he was touring.

With regards to Adam, he has been finding jobs - just not jobs that are extremely lucrative. And viola, his most recent film could have been cast out of LA, but you're right that none of his recent work actually seems to be there.
I have about a billion reservations about all of this, but I'm so excited as well.

he did. I hope that these tickets dont sell out too. I feel like it will be interesting to see them perform together after Rent 10, when they were so hyper and surrounded by the rest of the OBC. Watching them with different cast members will be weird at first. But I am SO excited, they're both so talented. Tim's last day is the 28th, right? So I guess they will actually be starting Monday the 30th?
Ah, I want something offical with all the specifications to come out

This fills me with earnest and tender feelings.
That's quite exciting. I was just thinking about heading back to New York in October or November, but I might need to speed that up to the beginning of September instead...

Ah, of course they have to start the day after I leave NYC.
I got my tickets two weeks ago ^^

A bit of both I think, the grosses have been down. I know for a fact that Adam isn't going back because he wants to but because he needs the money. Anthony seems pretty excited about going back but said he wouldn't have agreed to it if he was the only original cast member returning.
Well yeah, that's basically the same things we discussed here 3 weeks ago when Anthony first announced it. Adam and Anthony have always been pretty transparent about their feelings for Rent. And I know for a fact Anthony is benefitting from the money as well.
The show, financially, isn't doing *that* bad. It's almost always making money and just a few weeks ago, it was at 97%. Once school ends, it will be back up in the 80s and 90s. It's been fluctuating dramatically for probably 8 years now; the "bad" grosses are hardly the sign to start the funeral dirges.
*snort*
This should be interesting and fun.. We got tickets! I hope I'm not dragged to the PQ again, lol.
