Faile thanks for the wonderful news, unfortunetly depressing for me!! All I want for Christmas is cash too Trisky, but just a little more of it, so I can afford to fly there. :)

Someone needs to sit Michael down and remind him the holiday season is in full swing and a great gift would be for him to donate, say, a couple of weeks of rest to the cash strapped among us. Yes, that would be nice.
Though I don't think I'll be going to this anyway.

There's a great feature on Michael at Playbill.com (link below). Interesting tidbit: his real name is Michael Moore. I always found it funny that Michael's last name was Arden and that he was also involved in As You Like It. It's one of my favourite plays too.
Other interesting tidbit: Michael is involved in a workshop with Audra Macdonald and Michael Cerveris!
Now, Arden is playing Jimmy in a workshop of 110 in the Shade for Roundabout, starring Audra McDonald and Michael Cerveris. He quips, "I guess Roundabout thinks I play dumb really well." THE LEADING MEN

Remember when Musicalfandukie was drunk back in August and was posting about how attractive Michael Moore was? And how we all teased him for it? Well, look who has the last laugh!
EDIT: corrected the poster

Hey Blue. Actually that was the ADORABLE Musicalfandukie that was drunk off his ass and spouting about Michael Moore and that's the FIRST thing I thought of too! Who knew?! :P

Ditto for me.
Oh, and check out the LJ for some excitement (well, for me anyway)...
Why do we play with fire?
Why do we run our fingers through the flame?
Why do we leave our hands on the stove, although we know we're in for some pain?
-tick...tick...BOOM!
Jess - Yay, for the good news, I just read your LJ, how exciting!!!
What a great Michael article, I can't believe all that he has done in such a short period of time, he is just way too talented for his own good.
I also could not believe the whole name thing, I immediatley thought about that whole "Michael Moore" incident on the thread too that is so funny!!!

LOL, if only I was drunk. It might make this travesty of an essay easier to write. Damn end-of-term cramming!

Jess, I don't know where your LJ is!
I'm telling you, Musicalfandukie knows something we don't!
By the way, it's official: I'm coming to New York City! I'll be in Manhattan February 17th - 19th, during my Reading Week (ie. spring break)! I'm coming with a busload of friends and fellow undergraduates in party mode, but I would love to see some of you - heck, maybe even to go see a show!

You should go see Altar Boyz, BlueWizard. I think it opens in previews on February 15th. That is if you can bare (*sob* no pun intended *sob*) to step foot into Dodger Stages and not implode from bitterness.
Congrats Jess. You know, I'm glad so many of you got LJs, it's fun to get to know you all a little better than this thread allows for. Everyone should have an LJ!
No but we're checking him out in Connecticut!
And let's discuss the pricing situation for these road tours. $75 to sit in the "Grand Tier", goodness knows how much the Orchestra seats are. Yeesh! I thought road shows were supposed to have cheaper seats or am I just assuming that?
You know, now that we know Michael's original last name was Moore, I keep having this instinct to call him Michael Moorehead (because for some reason Agnes Moorehead popped into my head upon reading the article last night) after his Siriusoutq interview, is that wrong of me? Don't answer that.

LOL! Yes, but he's totally worth it. :) Besides, how fun is our little road trip going to be?
And speaking of, all people on the East Coast, I got the information for the Stamford, CT show. Scott says the show is going GREAT so we all need to head out there and support him!
Here's the link to the venue that it's playing at:
You can order tickets either through the site or directly from telecharge. Tickets range from $55-$75. GO! GO! GO!

Faile, you should totally do it! It'll be like a big get together! :)
Also, this is totally OT but y'all HAVE to run over to the OT thread and check out the Eddie Varley appreciation thread. There are some AWESOME childhood photos of Eddie being posted by his friend RSR.
Oh, Eddie!

Thanks for plugging my 'Leading Men' column with Michael Arden (and Paolo Montalban and Tommy Foster). It's nice to know it's being read, and thanks to everyone else who sees it.
Thanks for the info Wayman_Wong. It was a great piece! :)

Is there a train that goes from DC to CT? It's on a Saturday so no classes.
Actually I will have classes Saturday next semester, but luckily only for 3 Saturdays and in February. Boy will that suck. Of course I am graduating next semester!! Freedom...at last!!
If I can go, maybe I'll drive. That way you won't get stuck in CT if fishergirl can't make it. Besides, driving would save me a bit of money. If I am going to keep my car instead of selling it, I might as well use it.

Jamie McGonnigal and Kate Shindle, co-producers of Monday night's star-studded benefit concert of Pippin, found the perfect title player in the young actor Michael Arden. The sweet, innocent-faced Arden, who starred on Broadway in Big River and Off Broadway in Bare, a Pop Opera, possesses a beautiful, rangy tenor and an emotional stillness that is remarkably touching. From his beautifully performed "Corner of the Sky" through his second-act epiphany, Arden's performance as the son of the Emperor Charlemagne who searches for meaning in life was truly wonderful. Particularly notable were his renditions of "Corner," "With You" and "Morning Glow." Backed by a large onstage chorus on the latter, the Stephen Schwartz song swelled to a rousing conclusion that was spine-tingling.
So now Michael needs to get a role in something I can actually go see!!!
